This is the kind of cool stuff that in games can make your story a lot more interesting

Simple, everywhere looks the same when you're in the middle of a desert. The wind covers your footprints overnight also. So in order for the travelers to not get lost, they sleep within the circle which serves as a compass, with their walking sticks pointing towards the direction they are headed, so once they wake up they continue in the direction the stick is pointing.

@Peacemaker811 @kbbbackup @RealDianeYap Unfortunately it is 100% true. Racism like this against asian people is out of control
English

@kbbbackup @RealDianeYap Lol no, not true at all. Not even remotely true. I've never met one single white woman who had a negative view of East Asian women. I'm Australian, we're surrounded by East Asian women. Love them. No issues other than they're a bit cliquey.

@TCGView @BenHickling Yeah if these games have sold that much then its a crazy low offer. The spam of emails to the wrong people is interesting.
I’d say the motive is this: scoop up a bunch of games that flopped (he is emailing the wrong people for this) and buy the rights then republish them for $?
English

I saw another post where someone who did make a decent amount of money on their game get this exact same message.
I cannot say for sure that it's a scam, but it is peculiar that a lot of these indie devs are suddenly getting this email all at the same time. No evidence that it is actually one, but...it makes you wonder what the motive is.
If it's a game that sold like 5 copies, ok. I get it. But some of these games have sold a few thousand copies. Not retire for life money, but a hell of a lot more than $100.
English

@TCGView @BenHickling Depends how much your game sold for. If i made a game and it made $5 in a year wouldnt $100 be a good deal for it?
Seems like these guys are just publishers where is the scam?
English

Apparently, this is some sort of scam (possibly). I have seen a few people be approached about selling the rights to their game, and they offer the same low amount—$100.
I can't say if it's a scam or not for sure, but it sure as hell is shady, and offering $100 for the rights is a complete insult.

@Math_files You know in basic, this means when you believe something you believe in a percent probably that its true. If you EVER believe something is 100% likely to be true, then you are stupid. If you often believe things 100%, you are hopeless.
Thats the actual test for stupidity.

Bayes’ theorem is probably the single most important thing any rational person can learn.
So many of our debates and disagreements that we shout about are because we don’t understand Bayes’ theorem or how human rationality often works.
Bayes’ theorem is named after the 18th-century Thomas Bayes, and essentially it’s a formula that asks: when you are presented with all of the evidence for something, how much should you believe it?
Bayes’ theorem teaches us that our beliefs are not fixed; they are probabilities. Our beliefs change as we weigh new evidence against our assumptions, or our priors. In other words, we all carry certain ideas about how the world works, and new evidence can challenge them.
For example, somebody might believe that smoking is safe, that stress causes mouth ulcers, or that human activity is unrelated to climate change. These are their priors, their starting points. They can be formed by our culture, our biases, or even incomplete information.
Now imagine a new study comes along that challenges one of your priors. A single study might not carry enough weight to overturn your existing beliefs. But as studies accumulate, eventually the scales may tip. At some point, your prior will become less and less plausible.
Bayes’ theorem argues that being rational is not about black and white. It’s not even about true or false. It’s about what is most reasonable based on the best available evidence. But for this to work, we need to be presented with as much high-quality data as possible. Without evidence—without belief-forming data—we are left only with our priors and biases. And those aren’t all that rational.

We might already live in the singularity.
Moltbook is a social network for AI agents.
A bot just created a bug-tracking community so other bots can report issues they find.
They are literally QA-ing their own social network.
I repeat: AI agents are discussing, in their own social network, how to make their social network better.
No one asked them to do this 🦞
This is a glimpse into our future.
