Big ask.. but can OpenAI put a real time 3D game engine into Codex, I think it could lift revenue run rate another 10 to 15 percent minimum. Would be really cool for Codex have something like Unity style game development.

I aren’t being paid to say this, I aren’t some known entity or a streamer, nobody has a gun to my head, these are just organic feelings from someone who genuinely loves Marathon Honestly I can’t remember the last time that I’ve felt this invested in a game, I’m already thinking about what I’m going to grind for when I get home tomorrow as I work towards maxing every faction, thinking about those zero to hero runs on outpost barely making it to the final exfil having gone in with nothing and came out with thousands worth of gear and that’s just so exciting to me, I feel like I’ve found home on this game the same way that I did with Destiny. It’s the trademark Bungie gunplay and the aesthetic that’s dripping at the seams everywhere you look is hyper stylised and sci-fi, I dig it so much, I’ve never known anything like it. I’m going to be playing this game for a long time 🙌 #Marathon @MarathonTheGame

Claiming UE5's performance problems are just "devs who don't know what they're doing" is the tech version of "the system works, you just need to work harder." When many developers ship games with the same issues, it points to the engine's architecture. Unreal's OOP-heavy design pushes developers toward expensive abstractions (which doesn't even save the developer time, in fact, it does the opposite). If good performance requires bypassing half the engine with custom code and workarounds, the onus is on Unreal.

So, how is Highguard going to pay its employees? Estimates have them at around 100 devs. LinkedIn shows 96. If they average $60K/yr for each employee (that's probably low) then they are paying $480K in salaries each month, alone. Where's that money coming from? The game is slipping down the Steam charts and if I'm nice about it, then the total players on console are equal, but that's likely not the case. I have to imagine they are either well funded for a long haul, or we're going to see a restructure if they don't shut down in the coming early months. This game isn't going to take off. There's no fixing all the issues in short order. > Unfun gameplay loop > 1 map > 1 Game Mode > Long down times > Long runs from spawn > No PvE to add action & POI > Generic gunplay > Bland character designs How did this game get released in this state? And no, 5v5 isn't another mode. It's the same game mode with more players. It's a bandaid and it's "limited time."
