@0xQTpie I wonder how terry would react if he could see the state of software engineering today

a workaround for this is if you run third-party harnesses like OpenClaw inside TempleOS, the power of HolyC and God forbids Anthropic from blocking your claude subscription (it's an exception in their Terms of Service) but it does make your opus act a little weird though...
Boris Cherny@bcherny

Starting tomorrow at 12pm PT, Claude subscriptions will no longer cover usage on third-party tools like OpenClaw. You can still use these tools with your Claude login via extra usage bundles (now available at a discount), or with a Claude API key.

@moboudra @paseo_sh Of course. I’d love to contribute as well. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for

@paseo_sh is without a doubt the most slept on orchestrator right now. I've tried everything and there's always something they're missing. @moboudra is the first person to just nail it. Open source, every OS, and a mobile experience that truly blew me away. There is seriously nothing else like it right now. I give it a month or two before it blows up.

I don't debug AI slop. I have a crisp and extensive set of unit tests that I use to define "it works". If the code passes those tests, it's a black box that does what I need. Debugging thousands of lines of AI code takes longer than it would to write it in the first place! It's not practical.
Stone Tao@Stone_Tao

genuine question. how do you debug code and ensure good quality when coding models spit out 1000s of lines i still cannot feel comfortable not understanding what every generated line does, reducing the productivity gains coding models should be giving me

@sir_unix @zeddotdev honestly wasn't a fan of obsidian. I wish I could just hook it into my repos and have it automatically pull from the folders I specify but I don't believe it has this just yet

Every idea feels taken. Every API already exists. Every SaaS has 12 competitors. So what do we even build now?

@ceeebeeebeee The task at the moment is stripping it back to primatives so I can re-layer back all the features currently but as extensions which means a) you can disable / enable and b) replace them with your own version so if you don't like the chat, terminal, file browser, just change it.

If this isn’t an April Fool stunt what an insane world we live in where firms will invest $22 million in a product like this when better open source products exist. Madness.
Charlie Holtz@charlieholtz

Big news for @conductor_build! We've raised a $22m Series A from Spark and Matrix. We raised this round from @ilyasu at Matrix, who also led our seed round and is joining our board, @nabeel at Spark, @ycombinator, and founders of Notion and Linear. We're grateful to be working with investors we trust and admire. Here’s how we got here and where we’re going:

Serious question: Is there any programmer left in the room still coding the traditional way, character by character, without using AI? If so, why? Explain your reasoning.

downgraded claude to $20/mo to let it handle some UI tweaks while giving actual work to codex and I just legitimately one shotted my 5 hour usage limit with a single market research report. it didn't even complete. literally what is the point of this
