The @TheAA_UK after a lengthy fix attempt, my @tesla_uk main battery fails 😢 and they managed to recover my car from an awful spot in St Ives (Cornwall) yesterday, but since then 🤯 awful customer service. They want respect when we talk with them, but show zero respect or basic levels of customer service. The car was recovered and signed for at around 17:00 yesterday 8th July. I was advised it would be a bad journey to accompany to Tesla Gatwick and so stayed with my Wife and two children. They are around 18 but we travel together. Plan put together, Wife leave with Father-in-Law at 3am and myself and daughters catch the train at 5:48 from St Erth. Off to bed at 9 (do Not disturb) Wake at 2:30 to discover 5 missed calls at around 10pm from 3 numbers and one voicemail “we can’t find your car in Exeter Services” So I call in at 2:35 to the AA and they explain that they are unsure where the car is and that it will be relayed across the country by different operators. They wouldn’t necessarily meet up and at times the car would be unattended and the key left of the wheel of the car (let’s not even get into the doors being unlocked with the key nearby) I’m like 🤯 what, are you serious? You are! Ok well the AA is liable you go for it, NO because you didn’t travel with the vehicle the AA has zero reliability 😳 OMG ok, I was definitely not advised of that, and wouldn’t have left the car. There was only one spot in the vehicle So I say can you please find out where the car is? Call back please One hour later 3:35 I ring them, we don’t know where it is, it was an AA lorry looking for it last night, I said haven’t you sent someone to find it? “No, at this time we are so under resourced that would not be practical” Wow, ok well can you find out and call me back, yes At 5:30am I call in again, still no idea where it is and I’m desperately trying to remain calm, a lady says she will call back and will raise with higher management I then get a message back from the original recoverer, he advises he has kept the vehicle and advised the AA that he would start the journey to Exeter Services in the morning. (This was confirmed as fact by one of the missed call numbers from the AA who said at 10pm they had been told this so stopped looking for my car, they had rung me to advise but NOT left a voicemail or sent a text ! None of the first 3 phone calls could advise me of this, seemingly it wasn’t on the system 🤷🏼‍♂️ I ask the original recoverer to take the car direct to Tesla in Exeter, he agreed I call AA for the 4th time and advise them of the same and to officially switch the end destination to Tesla Exeter, he agrees he will. At this point I ask for email confirmation of the fact, he says he can’t provide but will request the transcripts of phone calls At 6:58am he calls me to advise they won’t send transcripts yet as more senior managers will call me when they get in at 7am Th y never called I get home and call them at around 2pm and get a nice lady, I advise the whole story, she says no managers would have called as they can’t do complaints! I’m like I’m only repeating what I’m told I say, after 21 hours I’ve had zero text or email confirmation of receipt of the car, I’ve called 5 times and only had one call back (the one to tell me I couldn’t have the transcripts) She says, No emails or confirmations until the car is confirmed delivered to Tesla in Exeter The and only then could a complaint be raised and I would need to call back to do so!! Their phone waiting chat talks about “a car breakdown is stressful we aim to make it less so” well you failed AA If my Tesla dying wasn’t enough, you caused unnecessary stress and worry on every level Shame on you
