@eris_nerung everyone just became erotically Japanese but without the sex infrastructure attocious

@uPrice11 Everyone has their own preferred session. Hedges is one of the best, a little extra poppy and polished.
If you like acoustic, this live version's great. That voice cuts through everything.

@darednor Been listening to timeless melody more, think I prefer this version:
open.spotify.com/track/66Ayo0Qm…
Less noisy, I like how the bass is a little higher up in the mix, and I think the vocals are a little clearer sounding and stronger

@uPrice11 They only put out one album but have a bunch of demos/bootlegs. Try this one out: youtube.com/watch?v=DHoKt-…

@elliot_reich @dlondonwortel Why do you think consolidation is inevitable? To me all the evidence points to continued fiefdoms.
English

@dlondonwortel I am convinced that a major unlock for this will be the inevitable consolidation of subway systems. if the subway map showed all connections to NJ it would redefine how people view “the city”

@TheMindScourge What's your preferred translation? I like Lawrence and Fagles.

@Wambo1289 The album was posted by REALISTIK, Cindy Lee's label. youtube.com/watch?v=_LJi5n…

@funplings Yes, I couldn't "rate" it for two months after watching. But I felt exactly what you felt coming on and made sure to write about it before it faded.
I'm due for a rewatch. It's like more than a lifetime in less than 3 hours.

yea when I was a teenager in those years I used to go to the library and read stacks of magazines- the articles in Esquire and GQ etc then were phenomenally well-written and I admired those writers so much. Tom Chiarella and Adam Gopnik were my favs

The sadder thing about reading the media circa 2006 (and I have really done this experiment, I’m not speculating) is how much better the prose is

@bouguereau_stan @AnthonyCastrio @simonsarris Only a person who has experienced it can feel that freedom. I once was out of an ingredient while cooking. Left the burner on, snuck out the back door, through the alley, and to the store. Back in a few minutes.
English

@AnthonyCastrio @simonsarris I used to live across the street from a grocery store and the proximity is a level of luxury that can't be overstated
Hit the grocery store twice a day every day, your fridge is ~empty save for leftovers and ingredients from the last 2-3 meals

Enlightenment is seeing the big box stores as your personal warehouses where you keep all the stuff you might need 3 years from now, neatly organized, away from your basement. They even organize the shelves for you.

Guys, it finally happened. I’ve been saving this piece of plywood for *years*, and finally have the perfect use for it as platform for a new air handler (swapped our AC system today with a buddy). My wife is so annoyed because I can’t stop smiling at my validation, AMA

@savage_acro For the old folks, Riverdale was definitely a status symbol. But the marker of status has changed from leisure/quiet to where the creative class is.
FWIW, Forest Hills/Kew Gardens is my dream place. Forest Park, Dani's pizza, perfectly urban/suburban.
English

@davidjoemax @savage_acro Crime is partially a social contagion. There is a culture of 'bipping' in SF that just didn't make it across to the east coast.
English

@savage_acro it's definitely less common here than west coast. don't know why. probably so many eyes around and ppl don't really leave stuff in cars.
catalytic converters get stolen like crazy here.
