The Jam were an English rock band formed in 1972 in Woking. Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler. They released 18 consecutive top 40 singles in the United Kingdom, from their debut in 1977 to their break-up in December 1982 (pictured here before 1978 show in Cumbernauld)

Ken Bruce spinning the old lie there that Ultravox's 'Vienna' deserved to go to number one, but was cruelly denied the top spot by a load of rubbish. In actual fact, 'Vienna' is a terrible song, Ultravox are a terrible band and 'Shaddap You' Face is a masterpiece.

Nowhere close to being out of play. Ball CLEARLY already blowing back the way as it goes out of picture. Credit to @Orinoko1872 for finding original footage. Anyone still believing that was out of play should just give up watching football.

Rangers PR - for as long as I can remember it's been a perennial point of exhaustive frustration and anger. Well since the cup tie debacle from my amateur standpoint the club have played this one pretty much perfectly. - Depriving the media, politicians and police the oxygen of an immediate club statement - no "mea culpa" bollocks or throwing Rangers fans to the wolves - allowing Police Scotland to blink first and roll out Chief Constable Jo Farrell to try, and fail, to set the narrative, and losing much credibility - likewise allowing Swinney to opine into a vacuum, again no credibility or ability to build a narrative (what's new?) - a timely club statement with the right tone and content, correctly pointing the finger straight back towards the policing and planning / allocation - acknowledgement that some behaviour was "unacceptable" but that "We will not accept a narrative that ignores the full context of what happened" and calling for a full independent review including the process to arrive at the allocation and the sequence of events leading to the scenes in question - strongly highlighting the extensive vandalism and the utterly degenerate graffiti celebrating 66 Rangers fans dying in an unimaginable manner And tonight the dam starts to crack with the Police Federation chief basically saying there was inadequate policing and match commander(s) were slow to react - that's the real narrative started now - the truth. Get the review conducted and we'll take our medicine where required and some fans will undoubtedly too - don't read this as an absolution of blame or bad behaviour on our part. But I'm glad to see our owners and our club as a whole refuse to be a willing punchbag for once in a very testing scenario - long may it continue.

FBU Executive Council Member for Scotland, Colin Brown, writes to the First Minister following the Union Street fire in Glasgow - “At the very moment you were at the scene of the incident praising Scotland's firefighters and promising financial support to help rebuild after the fire, I was in a meeting with Scottish Government civil servants hearing directly about plans that would lead to year-on-year workforce reductions”👇🔥🚒 @fbunational @WestScotlandFBU @FBUScotNorth @FbuEast @FBU_Scotland_EC @AngusSproul @UnityConsults @JohnSwinney @fire_scot heraldscotland.com/news/25954783.…
