@wesbos Back to basics. Get rid of the activity chart and social features. Focus on security, CI/CD (expand actions) and reliability. It’s a utility, not a social network. I hate the Facebook features.

@peturgeorgievv @heyandras @coolifyio Huh? Running nextjs in Docker is the easiest thing in the world. You lose a couple features that 90% don’t need anyways

And you can use @coolifyio for free to manage everything.

I get 4,150,000,000 (4 billion) requests and 300,000,000 (300 million) visitors per year That'd cost me $338,913 if I wasn't on a VPS like @brian_lovin below Instead I pay $2,932/year or 115x less because I host my sites on my own VPS My VPS servers are way too big and usually only use 10% of their resources so I could even go with $300/year probably if I optimized more (but I don't care) Especially with AI these days it's easier than ever to host your sites yourself, and way cheaper! 100-1000x cheaper!

FiveM devs will store 4K GIFs as server banners and wonder why their CDN bill looks like a car payment no compression. no optimization. just raw 47MB files served to every single player on join then they're shocked when bandwidth costs more than the actual server optimize your shit

native platform rules doesn't seem to be respected @BenjaminBekken i've created a clear rule for X at 240 characters max and it essentially just copy-pastes the LinkedIn post.

@robinebers nextjs is the shiny object in question, not svelte

yeah, but no context is important here svelte is for tinkerers and shiny object chasers next.js works and there’s no real reason to switch other than not wanting the deep vercel integration focus on building stop chasing “the next thing”
Micky@Rasmic

You should try svelte... seriously I been using it for the last couple weeks after deciding to finally give it a try (@davis7 kept bugging me)... now I can't go back... I love it... it's fun to write and the models are pretty good at it
