holy shit, the BBC just edited the passage from their anonymous "Iranian source" and removed the begging for being left without electricity, water and being nuked to death. So they admitted to fabricating the quote without any formal correction. This is utterly insane

the BBC has a front page article where they cite an "Iranian" who is begging to be left without electricity, water and also to be nuked to death. The shamelessness of the sub-human scum in the Western media class and their gusano slaves like Ghoncheh Habibiazad knows no limits

@DarkAdapted @Ahmed_hassan_za Why do you have beef with the Iranian government? How does a regime change benefit you as an individual or as a society in America? Why do you want the rest of the world to follow your dogma?

They didn’t steal a F-14 or anything, and I’m not saying an invasion would be a cakewalk by any means. But for a brief period, we are fully capable of going a few hundred miles inland, locating our guy, killing everyone in rifle range of him and hauling him out. You really do not want to mess with PJs, and apparently they had Delta in support. I was not in the military, but I have seen plenty of guys who made it into units like the Rangers and Special Forces, some of our premiere special operations units, basically say “Those guys are on another level”, like the difference between a really good football player in secondary school and a really good football player at the UEFA level. All this talk about “You’ll never invade Iran!” is actually correct, we don’t have the numbers to invade Iran, and the US public wouldn’t support drafting the several million soldiers necessary to do it. Nor is it a good idea, IMO. Our beef is not with the Iranian people, it is with their asshole government, which can be replaced when the Iranian people decide to. There have of course been civilian casualties, which is regrettable. But we have been hitting Iran for about a month now and have yet to kill a fraction of the Iranians their own government has killed since the beginning of the year.

You really don’t understand how all of this works, do you? When the truth is known about all of this, I am sure we will all be surprised by some aspects of this conflict. And it seems you will be surprised that we can go deep into Iran, drop off a bunch of dudes several orders of magnitude harder than Iranian regulars and militia, get ankle-bit by planes getting stuck in sand and still get our guy out, stack bodies and then exfiltrate. I see from your profile that you are in Yemen. When your benefactor government is removed, I would advise you to not pursue policies that would draw the attention of those same hard men that came for Maduro and got him, and then came for our aviator, and got him. Because if they come for you, they will get you, too.

This is a lazy and misleading take. The problem isn’t some sudden failure of the U.S., it’s Iran openly threatening and destabilizing key global shipping routes. You can’t blame the firefighter while ignoring the arsonist. Iran’s actions are what’s shaking confidence, not America’s response. Holding vital trade and energy corridors hostage is what’s undermining global security. Trying to spin that as a failure of U.S. leadership is not just dishonest, it’s deliberately ignoring the real source of the crisis.
