🚨BIG PROBLEM FOR CARNEY🚨 During the election, Mark Carney told Canadians he owned “nothing but cash and personal real estate.” After committee testimony, ethics screen documents, and voting for Bill C-15, Democracy Watch is accusing Carney says Mark Carney broke the law.

Everyone's talking about the industrial carbon tax. Canada doesn't have one. It has hundreds of different carbon prices. Each facility pays different rates based on sector and carbon intensity vs a baseline That's why there are charts like this one showing various prices.

@iainblackbc @ryanlpainter @Conservative_BC This again is another good example of ..if it’s not broken.. But all governments get elected and love to make change.. even just for change sake. How about B.C. adopting a graduated system of adopting new rules, regulations and laws? Check them out over a period of time and 👇👇

It’s 4:20am. Our @Conservative_BC MLAs have done us proud, standing on principle through the night in the Legislature in Victoria, fighting against the NDP using their majority to stop debate on Bill 9: a bill that weakens Freedom of Information laws in BC. Well done to our team; truly. I was the minister responsible for that legislation. Of all the freedoms we hold dear in our democracy, this topic is a cornerstone. The shameful legislation our MLAs fought against overnight is yet another example of how the NDP is committed to shifting the balance of power away from you, the public, and toward the government. Ignore requests for information. New fees for asking. Hide info “politically inconvenient” to release. Target specific critics. Erode transparency behind the heavy curtain of the bureaucracy. With this bill, the NDP government - already famous for doing backroom deals in secret, including ones that undermine your private property rights - has now *formally* attacked your right to public oversight, to transparency and (thus) to hold government accountable. This is how BC Conservatives differ from the NDP. Add this to the list; once premier, I will repeal that legislation.

@KirkLubimov I would like @MarkJCarney to point out the spot oil price that shows a premium is being paid for low carbon oil. It does not exist.

Mark Carney doubles down on decarbonizing oil and claims that's what Asia is looking for. "One of the key selling points for Canadian conventional energy will be that it's low carbon. And so getting the emissions down will put us in a position - and I will tell you that from direct conversations with a series of governments across Asia; that’s what they’re looking for the medium term. That’s what the Government of Canada is working with the Government of Alberta in order to produce: a comprehensive approach through our MOU. We're making good progress on that, and that’s going to make the Oil Sands more competitive." Literally, no one has been asking that in Asia, out of all places, where 50% of energy production comes from coal and accounts for 80% of the world's coal consumption. Our oil production is already cleaner than the average by the government's own data. They just want our oil!

In Ottawa, @alexbrown17 tells Juno News at CSFN 2026 that young voters are turning Conservative as life gets more expensive, but says politics should offer a stronger sense of national purpose. He also advocates tightening immigration and reviving Canada's cultural identity.

The bad news is that Honda isn’t building their plant in Alliston. The good news is, we didn’t give them taxpayer money. As for who to blame, it’s partly Trump but not his tariffs. torontosun.com/opinion/column…

Must watch! Martha Hall Findley "There's no such thing as a green premium." "Yeah, climate change is a problem, but I also don't think it's appropriate for Canada to sacrifice the prosperity of Canadians for something the rest of the world isn't doing anymore. " "And if somebody says, well, we need the social licence, my answer is we need the leadership to go back to the people who are still saying that and say the world has changed." "This is based on a false arrogance of Canada's role in the world and our contribution to climate." @MHallFindlay @SenatorWallin @DadeSPP

David Cochrane, the CBC's resident Liberal hall monitor, never once asks the Lib/NDP panelists for a shred of evidence But the second a Conservative drops facts? 'Are you surmising that the Chinese quota has something to do with this?' Lisa Raitt: 'No David, here's my proof point — the actual January 2026 press release from the foreign carmakers themselves saying your 49,000 EV quota is going to screw them.' Cochrane proceeds to chuckle nervously like a kid who just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. No shred of actual 'journalism.' Owned and barley coping When is this clownshow going to end? @lraitt @carter_c

@MarcNixon24 I wish I knew more about 🇨🇦 ‘s marriage to IPCC hurdles. Just this week IPCC declared one of the models used to project Climate as implausible. RCP8.5. Meanwhile it’s the backbone of Canada’s Carbon policy. Here’s Canadas Changing Climate Report changingclimate.ca/site/assets/up…

Every day, 12 Canadians are diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and Canada continues to have one of the highest rates of MS in the world. That is why campaigns like #TakeActionforMS matter. I was pleased to welcome representatives from MS Canada to my office to discuss the importance of supporting research, raising awareness, and standing with the Canadians and families affected by this disease. Thank you for the important work you do and for taking the time to visit Parliament Hill #cndpoli

🚨 Canada is supposedly “leading the G7” while Canadians are rationing groceries, businesses are fleeing, #investment is drying up, and people with full time jobs are wondering why survival suddenly became a luxury subscription service. 🤔 Maybe the problem isn’t that Canadians are too pessimistic. Maybe it’s that government press releases and lived reality are now existing in separate dimensions? Catherine Swift joins @StephenLeDrew to unpack the growing gap between the economic story #Ottawa tells and the one Canadians are actually living every day. Including how government accounting tricks and carefully polished numbers can make things look healthier than they really are. Because according to Liberal logic, if you redefine enough #liabilities and repeat “strong economy” often enough, the #factory closures and food bank lineups become imaginary. Modern governance. Very sophisticated stuff.🤨 #cdnpoli #Economy #IMF #MarkCarney #CostOfLiving #Inflation #Business @WorkingCdns
