My friend @petermansbridge donated a total of $300,000 to support journalism education at 3 Canadian universities this week, @UBC @JSchool_CU @ukings I'm mentioning it because he might not, and because it's a gesture worth appreciating, in a field that is so important.

Respectfully, Hannah did request Mr. Chong but did not have confirmation. When we learned he was at CBC, he had only a short window. I spoke to him, as the CBC's Parl. Bureau chief, and we offered other options to interview him today. That offer stands any time

At 2:39 PM, @HannahThibedeau requested @MichaelChongMP come on her @CBCNews show to talk about the startling revelations that Justin Trudeau misled Canadians about Beijing's interference in our democracy. Within 12 minutes, staff confirmed & booked Mr. Chong to come. Then, at 2:58 PM, as Mr. Chong was already standing in the CBC building, she cancelled. For the next hour, she covered news about Donald Trump, Ed Sheeran, and the Liberal convention. And you're telling me there is no bias at the CBC?

What a loss. Sokun Kong is closing his Capital Shoe Clinic on Queen at Bank St in Ottawa. Loved the workroom pics of his ballroom dancing kids. We laughed about his youthful appearance at age 70. But the pandemic, topped off by the truck protest, was too much. @OttawaMorning
