By the time I am 65, over $600,000 will be paid into #SocialSecurity on my behalf. That money would have been worth $1.9 million if I had gotten a 5% return. My annual interest would be $95k. The government promises me $3,075/month at age 67, which is $37k/year. HOW IS THIS NOT THEFT??

Something I rarely ever discuss and never share publicly is the huge amount of responses I receive from China defectors every time Sam Cooper and I get together for a conversation. I have hundreds of emails in my inbox from people who narrowly escaped communist China and some from people who are still there. I would never share their identities because China tracks dissenters all over the world. If you were born in China from 1948 up to the present day, the CCP believes they own you as an individual and have the right to lay claim over your agency as a human being. It sounds ridiculous but this is the prevailing mode of thought in China—beginning with Mao and continuing with Xi Jinping—and is the mode of thought we're seeing emerge in Canada and the EU. What I hear most from China defectors is about a blood-curdling fear that Mark Carney and the Liberal government are going to increase China's access to the Chinese diaspora in Canada. These people are terrified that the harassment they experience is going to transform into real world violence—the same violence they and their families came here to escape. When we discuss these issues we often talk about them in a geopolitical context—Mark Carney sells Canada to China, Trump now forced to strong-arm Canada away from China—but there are very real people on the ground caught between these dueling empires. There are real stories here; real people who are fearful that this communist monster is about to snatch their freedom from them again. I think it's important we remember that. It's easy to get distracted by the geopolitical theater, but these movements on the global chess board have real consequences—and not just for Chinese-Canadians and Chinese-Americans. We are all going to be deeply affected by this. Whether you're outspoken like me, or prefer to move through it all with your head down, this thing is coming for all of us. America has to win.

Brave New Normal Ep. 113 - Sam Cooper: Decapitating China in Venezuela and Iran Sam Cooper is an investigative journalist and publisher of The Bureau. We discuss the reasoning behind Trump’s extraction of Maduro from Venezuela, the American interests in Iran and Greenland, and how the instability in Venezuela, Iran and Greenland all connect to China. If Canadian officials are laundering money in the Ukraine who in Canada would investigate? I'm not sure Canada has any recourse over political corruption. It wouldn't be the RCMP as they'er a Liberal "pull toy!" Who?

Yup. Its bad up here. Hard to believe how deeply damaged our population is. People are so disconnected from reality, and so physically, mentally, psychologically and spiritually broken, they vote for and fund their own suffering and destruction, and don't realize it. I can't spend too long thinking about it. Mass psychosis is hard to witness, up close and personal. Faith is the way through this.

@bryan_johnson Management of self. Its a shame we are not explicitly taught this in school. Its an important knowledge area, with specific practical exercises to teach from a young age.

Remember the good Ole days, when we got to process issues like misplaced cigars in Oval Offices for what must have been a year. Issues were resolved, processed, and dispensed with. Now we have this bucket of disgusting slop tossed on us every day, by the people in power, while we struggle to make sense of the lunacy we experience each and every day. Plus, half of us weren't so sick with diseased and failing bodies, minds and spirits. This is shameful... a catastrophic failure.

Mind - realize thoughts are temporary. Meditate on this a few min here and there a few times a day. Reach some logical conclusions eventually about your inherent ability to swap shitty thoughts for good ones, because you are essentially consciousness and therefore divine so smarten up. Body - gym Spirirt - repeat above for rest of life, in honour of the divine light you possess and your highest aims as a spark of God. ❤️ It's a tough journey but worth the ride. One day at a time.

Eurasia Group, you ask … what’s happening there? Over $1.53 MILLION in federal contracts (your tax dollars btw) went to Eurasia Group over 10 years. Who works there? Mark Carney’s wife, Diana Fox Carney, in a senior role. Who else? Gerry Butts, also in a senior role. Also a staunch, long time Liberal. Now Mark Carney is leaning on Eurasia Group "analysis.” What’s the analysis? (Remember who works there). Analysis to justify distancing Canada from our closest ally & largest trading partner, while moving closer to China, a communist dictatorship which interfered in Canada’s elections. Does this scream independent analysis to you? Are Canadians not supposed to notice what’s happening?

Being old and poor is the worst fate. People won't hire you for jobs. Your options for friends and love are limited. You feel pain more acutely than when you were young. Telling people not to save for retirement is one of the wildest things you can say. Something feels wrong about saying this and not facing any consequences if it doesn't happen.

Does your child dread going to school? Not occasionally, but regularly, viscerally, in their body? Most parents dismiss this as normal. "School is hard." "Life is hard." "Toughen up." But dread is data. It's your child's nervous system telling you something is wrong.

The reason urges feel unbearable is because you’ve reinforced them with instant rewards. Remove the reward, sit through the storm, and the brain stops investing energy in the loop. What you stop feeding eventually starves.

If there's not need to save money, what will we use to decide who gets what piece of land?
Elon Musk@elonmusk

@RayDalio It is certainly a nice gesture of the Dells, but there will be no poverty in the future and so no need to save money. There will be universal high income.

Hey friends, quick note This account used to be more personal — but honestly, it started to feel heavy, reactive, negative, and kind of exhausting. So I’m shifting gears. From here on out, I’m turning this into a space for curiosity, wonder, and refreshment. ✨ It’s called Feed Cleanse — and I hope it brings a little brightness to your scroll. The Great Molasses Flood is a bizarre reminder that even something sweet, warm, and slow… can be deadly under pressure. And that ignoring cracks — literal or metaphorical — never ends well. 🍯 Rest in peace to the stickiest day in Boston history.

The disaster sparked one of the first class-action lawsuits against a major corporation. The company — United States Industrial Alcohol — denied all responsibility. After 6 years in court, they paid out $628,000 in damages (about $10M today).
