It was my priviledge to represent Dylan's parents with the exceptional @JoMoore_ during this inquest. The coroner's ruling that neglect played a significant role in Dylan's tragic death was strongly supported by evidence of multiple failings in his care #sepsis @LeighDayHealth

Pleased to have joined an important discussion on maternity safety yesterday @RCObsGyn. Powerful insights from Wes Streeting and our own @White_Suz @LeighDay_Law , who stressed the vital importance of patient autonomy and informed consent.

Thank you for inviting me to be part of the discussion on maternity safety - and neonatal safety. I was reassured by @wesstreeting @MichelleWelshMP today, I hope that maternity safety will be an absolute focus and that families who suffer avoidable harm will receive justice

A national maternity investigation has been launched — and Health Secretary @wesstreeting has publicly acknowledged what so many of us have been raising for years: systemic failure, trauma, and ongoing inequalities in care. The government’s own press release states that Black and Asian women still face worse outcomes, and outlines a new anti-discrimination programme. These words matter — but they must be followed by real, lasting change. The @MotherhoodGroup , we’ve supported Black mothers through being dismissed, ignored, and let down — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. This inquiry must not treat our voices as an afterthought. If we’re serious about improving maternity care, then Black maternal health and mental health need to be embedded from the start. #BlackMaternalHealth #MaternalMentalHealth #TheMotherhoodGroup #WesStreeting #MaternityInquiry #SystemicChange
