@seatsixtyone SNCF is stupidly overpriced compared to Trenitalia. I chose Italy for my summer hols this year over south of France because SNCF was way more than the plane but train back from Turin to London plus hotel overnight was less than Ryan scare.

SNCF putting extra trains and seats on sale to prevent competitor Trenitalia from gaining a foothold on Paris-Marseille. Which might sort of possibly maybe suggest they were under-providing and over-pricing when a monopoly, nationalised or otherwise.

@SCNathan @seatsixtyone If you left London on an early Eurostar you’d do it in a day. It’s only 3.5 hrs from Paris. Trains run often.

@seatsixtyone It would help if the escalators that have been out of service for many years were fixed when you arrive off the train to go down to ground level! It’s always a cluster with stairs and two lifts !

I've finally decided to delete the tip about the 'short cut' from Brussels Eurostar platforms 1 &2 to other platforms, it was causing more problems that it solved. 80 instances deleted from Seat61.
So go on folks, I dare you, tell me it's about to reopen next week! 🙃
