@Fade_Coms JJK is definitely not a modern-day Dragon Ball, that’s the problem with a lot of DB fans tending to look at things on a surface level.

What people don't understand is that GOJO VS SUKUNA A MANGA ONLY FIGHT atm jumped so high in mainstream media that basketball players and Usher referenced it. Dog they had an animated PV for their sequel manga, JJK is easily there

In terms of cultural impact, I have to agree that JJK is currently the closest series to a modern day Dragon Ball. It's undeniable that JJK's motion is in a different league than anything else right now.

@forwardintodawn @SigmaGodku The remastered version will be closer to Toriyama's vision, so likely, more similar to the movie, where it's Beerus that catches him.

@Jamie4298164821 @SigmaGodku Well, we're talking about the anime not the movie, and I don't see why not, from the trailers the climax doesn't look any different.

@forwardintodawn @SigmaGodku And that scene wasn't even part of the original version in BoG and likely won't be in the remastered version. He insults him in both versions. But it's nothing serious.

@Jamie4298164821 @SigmaGodku No, it’s more friendly and supportive, and it better shows Vegeta’s newfound respect for Goku, particularly after the Buu Saga. For example, when he catches Goku as he’s falling from the atmosphere after his fight with Beerus it’s not perfect, but it’s much better than the manga.

During the Majin Buu Saga, Gohan was only a 16-year-old teenager, but as the story progressed, the character went through subtle design changes that gradually gave him a much more mature appearance, far removed from the youthful look he had at the beginning.

@martin_miller07 @DBPerfectShots Because of poor writing and Toei’s direction, in this case the DBS manga is much better. In the manga, he wasn’t able to do anything against Black and was relegated to a support role, healing the cast whenever they were injured.

@DBPerfectShots I still have no idea how trunks could keep up with those 'gods' with regular super saiyan. Beerus needs to fight a bit serious against super saiyan god goku and he knocked out SSJ3 goku with one tap on the back on goku's neck. This doesn't make any sense at all

Why are people trying to defend the decision of skipping the two biggest DBS anime arcs into Moro arc being adapted, while already having done the first 3 arcs (two of which have been adapted twice before) It's such a weird decision even if DBS anime gets continued after Moro

@Rhymestyle @ZehalZ That "nobody" must only be you, because plenty of people would prefer them to fully remake all of Super and Super needs a remake. Not one arc looks good from start to finish and its story sucks, your new video game characters can wait.

@Spidey007129158 If anything, it needs the same episode count or a smidge higher but with more story packed in. I hope they're using this remake to the fullest and not just improving the animation.

Nothing confirmed, Just my prediction.. I think Goku Black Saga will be trimmed to 15–18 episodes (from 30), while the Tournament of Power saga (including recruitment + ToP arc) will be about 30 episodes, down from 55. Overall DBS S1 would be 65-70 Episodes ??
DBS Philosopher@Spidey007129158

Thanks to @/Venixys, Like I said Champa arc likely to be wrapped up by June/July with RoF being close to be done. My sources might not be as accurate as Venixys but I would say not to worry about the production pace.

@ChiChi_Verse Goku isn't stupid or any idiot like at all, he's just goofy and wasn't brought up in normal society. Super dialed that up to 11 and made him a blatant idiot.

@BluenessBlues @4the4th195075 @RobieArt Several characters in Dragon Ball have magic; they should have given him more of a backstory than just being an evil wizard who wants to destroy everything. But the biggest asspulls were Broly and Beast Gohan, Broly's power took a large part of my enjoyment out of the movie.

@4the4th195075 @RobieArt Not really. Beerus’ strength makes sense, and a villain who scales above a Kai was established in Z with the sealing-in-Z-sword line. Frieza was an asspull, yeah. Zamasu makes sense. He’s just future Goku AND fused. Jiren is a different universe, so makes sense. Moro is magic.

@Tmc0610 Gotta disagree. Toei has great animation and a great team but it takes more than that to make a great show. Mappa realizes that authors can make mistakes and actively try to fix them to give you a better story. It fixed some of the problems in JJK, AOT and chainsawman.

Totally Not Mark confirms that DBS Beerus will be 6 episodes, down from 14 episodes from the original anime, making it a total run time of 2 hours (not including the OP, ED or recap) Considering how RoF is also a retelling of the film, it’s probably the same number of episodes

@_OneRule_ @2X24_B @TeeHallums He isn’t, but I guess the wording comes off as too articulate, though it sounds fine to me. There was one moment in the dub of the Battle of Gods movie where Goku said something that felt a bit too academic, or like he shouldn’t have known that word.

Which dub do you think did a better job at adapting its source material? I'm always surprised when I remember the Z dub added an entire speech. #DubAudit

@xelyuss @dbgrandtour_ Anime studios are notoriously bad at business, and Toei is no exception (and not really a great studio either, in my opinion, but I guess they're improving). However, they were fortunate enough to secure adaptation rights to the Dragon Ball and One Piece IPs.
