Her mother fed her little by little like a little bird and within months she had regained her normal weight ! Her fiance came back from Switzerland where he spent the last years of the war… they married. The doctor told them they had to wait years before having a child as she was too weak to go through childbirth and their child may not be normal ! 0ne year later I was born ! My birth , my life was a miracle ! ! My mother would say : “God saved me so I could give you Life... you are my torch of Freedom ! “ . The lesson she taught me is to HONOR LIFE ! Honoring LIFE…..ALL LIVES is what we must remember today and every day !! ❤️🙏❤️

Today is Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) in Israel. Once again, I share this 5-minute video of British troops liberating the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp and ask that people watch it. We can't prevent it happening again unless we remember it.

@AmnestyUK I cannot believe I ever raised funds for you, wrote letters for you, thought you were the good guys. Of all the once great organisations you are the biggest disappointment to me and to so many of us.

I used to volunteer for St John Ambulance, a charity with its own fleet of vehicles providing volunteer first aid services across the country. It traces its origins back to an 11th-century hospital established in Jerusalem to care for sick and injured pilgrims. If their fleet had been attacked I do not think we would have the same number of people asking about the premise of the organisation rather than condemning the action itself.

My grandad was injured at Dunkirk fighting fascists who invaded France and deported Jews across Europe. I don’t want people who today call for the murder of Jews living in the country he risked everything to defend.

In high school in Israel, you have the option to study third language - French or Arabic. All my friends wanted to go to France after the army, so they studied French. I am the only one that studied Arabic. Now I'm the only one who can go to France. -Yohay Sponder.
