@British_Airways 1/2 utterly appalled at the complete disorganisation for 150 passengers who have just got off the vegas to Heathrow flight and went for the connection at 5.20 to Glasgow.. we were all there waiting to go through

@British_Airways We have done that (obviously) … they just say someone in an office made decision nobody could board .. everyone is exhausted afterr travelling for so long and nobody has a clue what is happening .. we would like to hire a car and drive or get the train .. what are the options

@DieMadTerf @jk_rowling I think if enough women followed her example then it absolutely would change things. If every single female sports woman did exactly what she did I suspect things would change very quickly.

She is. But it won't change anything. Men will not stop qualifying for women's sport. Because the rules allow them to. It doesn't matter how many women boycott (although the attention it brings to the issue is brilliant) whilever it is possible for men to enter women's sport. Rules need to ban men. The rules need to be enforced by sports organisers and administrators (not female athletes), and universal sex testing (cheek swabs) need to be implemented.

While I absolutely understand that plans for childcare fall through, work or personal emergencies occur, none of this applied on these cases. It is now leaving my lists underutilised on a weekly basis. What can we do? We can’t bring down waiting lists if patients don’t turn up.

My all day NHS operating has been left with 3 out of 5 slots unused - 2 patients decided on Wednesday that the date did not suit (having previously confirmed) and 1 this morning did not want to wait to be second on the list, so left. They have waited nearly a year for surgery.

Knowing for the past few weeks that this moment was fast approaching didn’t make it any less heartbreaking to hear the news early this morning that Janey had died. Janey Godley truly was a force of nature, and one of the funniest people I have ever known. I was able to visit her in the hospice a couple of weeks ago and though she was fragile, she still had me in stitches. Janey was also incredibly kind. And she made the world a better place. A bond was forged between us in the darkest days of Covid when her famous voiceovers of my daily briefings went viral. In the toughest of times, she made people laugh - and that was precious. She did more that that though. In managing to project the serious public health messages of my briefings to a much wider audience than I would have managed alone, she helped save lives. The photos on this post are from an event we did together last year - it was a special night. I was so proud to call Janey a friend and will miss her hugely. My heart goes out to her family and many friends - they are in my thoughts today. I know Frank will have been there, holding the door for her as she went - with a tear in his eye, as I have in mine. RIP my friend ❤️
