@gregcello Yes! I am living in a third generation home and it looks like this because decades of my family loved it and perfected it.

so much to this. Growing up, this is how every house of the oldest generations in my family felt. Not because no one is doing it now, per se, but bc it takes many years of permanence and thoughtful attention to beauty, detail, and that which is around you.

There's never been anything like the Henry Nowak case where the victim is non-white and the assailant is white, and the police respond the way they did. That whole combination of events could really only happen to a white person. The BLM narrative is the exact opposite of reality

I haven’t moved on from the Karmelo Anthony fundraiser. They donated half a million as a reward for killing a white kid. Zero evidence or reason to think it was “self defense,” and they didn’t care. It was a reward for killing a white kid. I’ll never forget it. Neither should you

Foreign-born workers (immigrants, including naturalized citizens, legal residents, and UNDOCUMENTED) now make up 19.5% of Connecticut’s employed* workforce in 2024 (and rising)… This means those workers account for likely** well over 90%, tracks nationally — In other words, our native Nutmeg employment has been essentially DOWN since early 2020. Why aren’t there jobs for you/your children? Residents get stuck paying for every “public benefit” you can imagine via onerous taxes and fees, while @CTDems are artificially driving any net growth. We have no “net job growth” People have LEFT bc CT is unaffordable. Our future is being obfuscated, jobs replaced (via cheap visa labor), entire sectors simply undercut. All because leftist government facilitated open borders (Sanctuary state) in an effort to expand the welfare state, grow gov’t — It’s not an economy for everyone. And it’s CT native families, who’s been working their whole lives, stuck in between… watching our home go from the constitution state into an international economic zone.
Leading Report@LeadingReport

Foreign-born workers accounted for roughly 90% of net U.S. job gains since the pre-COVID peak (February 2020), per BLS data.

🔴💸 CONNECTICUT: Valentina Diaz from Columbia is a @CT4aDREAM activist and an entitled bish who should get the F out of my country. She arrived in 2021 and now tells us we have to protect illegal immigrants from ICE at all costs and fund Husky for Immigrants Medicaid so she can afford her doctor bills. I can't even F**king afford my own insurance and doctor bills. Feel free to pick up Diaz and all her illegal alien friends in New Haven and at Gateway Community college at any time @SecMullinDHS @EROBoston @realDonaldTrump

@shagbark_hick That’s called trauma brain and it’s real. It is really hard to get it to quiet down but months to years of feeling safe, sleeping, and eating right, can definitely help. Protect your peace as much as possible. Limit social media and screens. Get out into nature.

The strangest thing about the turns my life has taken, particularly in recent years, is that it seems my brain has not caught up with it all. I'm no longer living hand to mouth. I am no longer running from the cops or brawling with crackheads or waking up in a sprint for fear of getting robbed. I'm not in the military anymore, I'm not in solitary confinement for months of "quarantine" anymore. I'm no longer alone, isolated, desperate for human contact. I've buried my mom -- no more hospice, no more chemo. I'm no longer half-starved and running crazy state to state like I was for so many years. To the contrary I've got a wonderful wife and a happy baby, a nice pile of savings, two houses, a viable small business, I've got passive income I built from the ground up, I'm healthy, 32 years old, I've got friends all over the USA. I've even got book deal offers. I could do anything, go anywhere -- things are truly looking up for me and my little family. But in actual fact, my brain says: "it's all fake and it's all gonna go away at any moment." I expect to get in a car accident and die, or that I have lung cancer, or that I'm going to lose all my savings in a financial crash. I bolt upright in the night in a panic, reaching for my rifle, hyperventilating. My mind is gone, I'm nervous all the time, my brain is my own worst enemy. I've forgotten how to have fun, be spontaneous -- I'm just locked into a full-bore sprint against death, destitution, and losing everything, always overthinking. Does this ever end? Seems to only get worse. Might just be the chapter of life I'm in, I can't tell.

🔴⚖️ CONNECTICUT: New Haven K-8 School Turns into Illegal Immigrant Hideout as ICE Stands Down On May 26, 2026, a 47-year-old illegal immigrant from Ecuador, who already had a final deportation order, was stopped by an ICE team while dropping his daughter off at John S. Martinez School (James Street K-8) in New Haven’s Fair Haven neighborhood. Instead of cooperating, the man ducked into the school building to hide. Activists rushed in to back him up, and City Teachers Union President Leslie Blatteau and Vice President Jenny Graves stayed inside with him the entire time. Blatteau later declined to comment. School officials got involved, and ICE eventually pulled back without entering or making the arrest. The illegal immigrant walked out around 11 a.m. with no consequences. Connecticut parents are rightly unhappy that a K-8 school packed with small children was turned into a temporary illegal alien hideout during regular school hours. It disrupts kids’ learning, creates unnecessary chaos, and sends a clear message that federal immigration rules don’t apply if you can just run inside a school. This incident also highlights how greedy leftist teachers' unions are part of the problem. With Connecticut’s native-born residents having fewer children and public school enrollment dropping for more than a decade, ESL and multilingual students have become crucial job security for teachers and union leaders. While overall enrollment shrinks, the growing number of English learners helps keep classrooms, and union influence, full. Fair Haven has a large concentration of illegal aliens, and this isn’t the first time ICE has had to operate there. Some residents are now saying @EROBoston @SecMullinDHS should just set up a stronger, consistent presence in the neighborhood to handle cases like this instead of chasing one guy at a time. The idea is simple: enforce the law where the violations are happening so final removal orders actually mean something. This incident is exactly why the U.S. Department of Justice sued Connecticut, Governor Ned Lamont, Attorney General William Tong, the City of New Haven, and Mayor Justin Elicker back on April 14, 2026. The federal lawsuit targets the state’s Trust Act and New Haven’s “Welcoming City” laws and policies that block local police from honoring ICE detainers or sharing basic info unless there’s a judicial warrant or a short list of serious crimes. Critics say these sanctuary measures tie the hands of federal agents and give safe harbor to people who’ve already been ordered out of the country. The case is still in court, and city officials are digging in to defend the policies. But the Fair Haven episode has many asking whether shielding people from deportation really makes neighborhoods safer or just makes basic enforcement harder while kids pay the price. @AAGDhillon @TonyDeAngelo7 @CTCentinal (Link to referenced @newhavenindy article in replies)

@haretriggered2x @kenklippenstein The Lamonts and Democrats did this on purpose. Renters overwhelmingly vote Democrat. I support building housing, including affordable housing, but not in all 169 Connecticut towns when 50+ of them have NO water and sewer infrastructure in place to handle that many new people.

@Elpunto81 @MattWalshBlog This is absolutely 100% true. My performance athletically is absolutely tanked the next day if I drink basically at all. Alcohol is a poison straight up. It’s NOT good for you. The more you stay away from it, the more you feel how horrible it is for your body.

@MattWalshBlog You’re giving away that you do nothing athletic at all. A few glasses of wine won’t ruin your week but your bike ride will be slower, your reflexes will be off, you won’t lift as well etc.. Tubby podcasters unaffected.

Let's test that. If an 18 year old saves $26 a day by eating the cheap sandwich instead of the $28 lunch mentioned, that's $9,490 a year. In five years, that's $47,450 if you save NOTHING else. That's a 20% down payment for a $230k home at 23. If you wait until 28, it's $94.9k.

Amanda Peet is 5 years older than I am and we’re a part of a group of women over the age of 45 who’ve yet to have any kind of work done (mainly Botox and fillers). While statistically speaking we’re not the minority, it certainly feels like it.

If you're young in a truly rural area of the Northeast, you know this feeling. "90% of everyone in this bar is gonna be dead in the next 15 years, and when they're gone, this bar is going to close, and if I stay here, I am going to be alone." It's like a real-life horror film.

@KristiTalmadge @kenklippenstein Well, I don’t mind sharing space with others either but it’s depressing to shop/live in a place where it no longer feels like home due to mass immigration. Then there’s no jobs and cost of living is crazy on top of it.

@kenklippenstein The housing shortage in Connecticut is manufactured by Governor Ned Lamont and Democrats inviting over 110,000 noncitizens, both illegals and foreign nationals on cheap labor work visas, knowing we did not have the additional housing stock to accommodate them.

We're told that we shouldn't object to Helen of Troy being portrayed as a black woman. And yet if a major Hollywood studio made a film set in Africa and cast a white woman as "the most beautiful woman in Africa," those same people would literally riot in the street. If, say, Sydney Sweeney was cast in the role, they'd be driven to murderous violence. We all know this is the case.
