Actually you can do one too. I’m no Starmer fan but i absolutely back him on pushing back against a cinflict he was not consulted about and a bully who is sulking because he found that actually the US can not go it alone. Lets not also forget the US stance during the Suez crisis.
Jim Ferguson@JimFergusonUK

x.com/JimFergusonUK/… 🚨 BREAKING: STARMER’S WEAKNESS HAS NOW BECOME A DIPLOMATIC LIABILITY President Trump’s message could not be clearer. He believes Britain failed to stand with America when it mattered — and now he is openly warning that the United States may not be there for us in return. Let that sink in. This is not some minor spat. This is not theatre. This is the public humiliation of a British Prime Minister by the President of the United States. And why? Because Keir Starmer chose hesitation over strength. Distance over loyalty. Posturing over leadership. At a moment of rising global danger, Starmer has managed to do the unthinkable: damage the UK’s most important alliance while pretending he is acting in the national interest. He has not looked principled. He has looked weak. He has not looked independent. He has looked unreliable. And in geopolitics, weakness invites contempt. That is exactly what this is. Contempt. The “special relationship” is not sustained by slogans. It is sustained by trust, credibility, and the belief that Britain will stand firm when the stakes are high. Starmer has weakened all three. If President Trump now sees Britain as a fair-weather ally, that is not just embarrassing. It is dangerous. Because serious diplomatic damage has now been done. And it has been done by a man who behaves less like a leader and more like an administrator managing decline. Britain needed strength. Britain got Starmer. And now the world can see the cost.

@JimFergusonUK Trump is kicking ass! The haters out there are working over time to discredit him but the results speak for themselves. Iran has been completely annihilated militarily.

🚨 EUROPE JUST GOT THE MESSAGE — AND IT’S NOT A GOOD ONE President Trump has made it clear: America is finishing its objective… and then stepping back. No more world policing. No more automatic protection. No more guarantees. His words matter: “The Strait… that’s not for us. That’ll be for France. That’ll be for whoever’s using it.” Read between the lines. This is a strategic shift. The United States is signalling: We secured our interests We achieved our objective You are now responsible for yours For Europe — this is a wake-up call. Because for decades: Security was outsourced Energy vulnerability was ignored Military strength was allowed to decline Now reality is returning. Fast. If America steps back: Who protects critical trade routes? Who secures energy supply lines? Who responds when escalation happens again? Europe is exposed. And it has been left exposed by its own leadership. This is not just about geopolitics. This is about consequence. Weak energy policy. Weak defence policy. Weak leadership. All converging at the same moment. And now, when the pressure is rising… The safety net may no longer be there. The world is shifting. And Europe is not ready.

When Brits move to Australia for ‘a better life’ it’s worth noting that what’s actually happening is them preferring to move to the other side of the planet instead of a country in Europe and having to learn a foreign language. If they spoke German in Australia literally no Brit would move there.

Don't cancel me for misogyny (I literally posted a pic of an appallingly dressed male traffic officer yesterday) but what is going on here? Is this individual foppery or a general trend in sliding standards?

MARCO RUBIO: “If Europe won’t allow us to use the bases we man and fund for their defense when we need them, we ought to close them down and remove our troops from Europe!" Europe has been sleeping on our sofa and raiding our fridge for too long. Time to pay the rent. ⬇️

This sums up for me the general decline in standards within the UK Police Service. I presume she skipped the discipline and emphasis of the importance of high standards of dress and appearance at training school. The saddest part of this is that she was making a statement about the death of three young people 😢 A complete lack of respect demonstrated.

@lyeemoon This was the way a Chief Inspector turned out to deliver a statement at the scene of a triple fatal rtc in our area a week ago.

@EricLDaugh Treasury Secretary Bessent just made it clear: "There WILL be freedom of navigation. Whether it's through US escorts or a multinational escort." Not "maybe." Not "we're considering." Not "if Iran cooperates." WILL. The Strait of Hormuz is opening. One way or another. 🇺🇸
