I’ve had time to study DOJ’s indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center now, and it only gets more disturbing as you do that. A weak indictment, in the lineage of the one filed against Jim Comey & dismissed & the one against members of Congress advising soldiers they didn’t have to obey illegal orders that a grand jury declined to indict, there seems to be an ulterior motive here, which I discuss in this piece. joycevance.substack.com/p/whats-wrong-…

In case you'd like to try it Mrs. President, here is a recipe for Honey baked chicken that our family has loved for years:
1 Cup Flour
2 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 - 3lb fryer cut up
1/2 Cup Butter melted
Honey Butter sauce ingrds.:
1/4 Cup Butter melted
1/2 Cup Honey
1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
Combine the dry ingrds., mix it well and dredge the chicken pieces in it.
Place the 1/2 Cup of melted Butter in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. (I just put the pan with the stick of butter in it, in the oven as it preheats to 400 degrees, to melt it).
Place the coated chicken in the butter and turn to coat, leaving the skin side down.
Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
Make the Honey Butter sauce by combining all the ingredients.
Remove the pan from the oven, turn the chicken over and pour the sauce over each piece. Bake uncovered for another 25 to 30 minutes until juices run clear and meat is tender. Baste with sauce occasionally.
Great served with mashed potatoes or rice.

This is insane. Pete Hegseth just fired the Navy Secretary in the middle of a war for refusing to defy a federal court order protecting Senator Mark Kelly.
A U.S. District Judge ruled that Hegseth’s attempt to strip Kelly of his retired Navy rank, as punishment for a video reminding service members of their oath to refuse illegal orders, trampled the First Amendment and threatened the constitutional rights of millions of military retirees.
Fox News (yes, Fox News!) reported that Secretary John Phelan refused to ignore that ruling. Hegseth fired him for it.
This is the Secretary of Defense punishing a subordinate for following the law.
It is the definition of an unfit leader in charge of the most powerful military on earth, during an active conflict with Iran, no less.
Hegseth is an unqualified disgrace who must resign or be removed.
Congress has a duty to investigate.
