@shipwreckedcrew Ship, is this a 'put up or shut signal'? The victims would testify under oath before congress BUT would not be subjected to cross examination. They could name names, but as long as they didn't lie, would they be immune from legal retaliation?

@David_J_Bier The orange and green lines reflect THOUSANDS of victims each and every week. Those victims never would have been victims if the illegals weren't here. Your chart shows CONVICTIONS. Pray tell us what small percentage of crimes committed leads to a CONVICTION. Misleading.

That green line shows the immigrants ICE arrested who have ever had a violent criminal conviction. Then the orange line is all other crimes. Then you have the blue line for noncriminals. Since inauguration day, ONLY THE NONCRIMINAL LINE IS UP. It couldn't be any clearer.

Hello Senator Thune, At 3 AM on Friday, March 27th, in a near-empty chamber, you passed a bill by voice vote that excludes all funding for ICE and CBP. Let me repeat that: voice vote. No roll call. No record of who was there. No accountability. Just you, Barrasso, and a handful of senators shuffling paper in the dead of night while America slept. You could have demanded a recorded vote. You chose not to. You could have held the line for five more days until the House returned. You chose not to. You could have used the same procedural tools Democrats have used against you for 40 days. You chose not to. Instead, you gave Chuck Schumer exactly what he asked for, DHS funding minus immigration enforcement, and called it a win. Then you walked to the cameras and blamed the Democrats. Let's be precise about what you did: 1. You caved to a demand Democrats made on Day 1 of this shutdown. Forty-one days of supposed hardball negotiation, and you settled for their opening offer. 2. You handed them a template. The next time Democrats want to defund any agency — ICE, CBP, or anything else — they now know: just shut down DHS and wait. John Thune will fold at 3 AM. 3. You punted to reconciliation. "Good possibility," you said. Not "we will." Not "guaranteed." Just maybe. Meanwhile, ICE operates on fumes from last year's bill with no certainty of future funding. The precedent you set: You have argued for months that the filibuster is sacrosanct. That the 60-vote threshold protects minority rights. That we cannot bend Senate rules for policy wins. But at 3 AM on Friday, you bent every norm that actually mattered: • Voice vote to avoid accountability • Empty chamber to avoid debate • Midnight deal to avoid scrutiny • Immediate recess to avoid questions You'll bend the rules to avoid a fight. You just won't bend them to win one. What you've actually accomplished: Democrats demanded ICE restrictions. They got ICE defunded. Not reformed. Not restrained. Defunded. And you're out here tweeting about how Democrats are the "Defund the Police" party while you just voted to defund border enforcement at 3 in the morning. The question you should answer: Why did this deal have to happen at 3 AM? Why couldn't it happen at 3 PM, with cameras rolling and every senator on record? You know why. Because you didn't want your voters to see what surrender looks like. Here's my message: We saw it anyway. Stop hiding behind "Democrat obstruction." You're the Majority Leader. You set the schedule. You control the floor. You chose this outcome. Own it.

When a man assaulted California politician @SpeakerPelosi's husband in San Francisco, he got life in prison with no parole. When a man kills an Asian senior citizen for sport in San Francisco, the progressive @SFSuperiorCourt releases him.
Garry Tan@garrytan

It's official: A San Francisco judge just suspended the sentence of Antoine Watson, Grandpa Vicha's killer, and released him on probation. The judge said she thought imprisonment would have a "poor impact" on Watson. This is the state of SF courts. gli.st/lvyg5lck

@dilanesper In 2022, Sotomayor stated "We have over 100,000 children in serious condition, and many on ventilators." (from Covid) Not a misunderstanding of complex issues. Just ignorance of widely known facts. BTW, playing the racist card is so 2016.

Just to be clear here, nobody ever actually identifies a bunch of specific cases where Sotomayor or Jackson made dumb arguments, or misunderstood complex issues, or otherwise betrayed a lack of intellect. They just ASSERT the two women of color aren't smart enough.
Dilan Esper@dilanesper

@teafortillerman There's no evidence of that whatsoever. SS and KBJ regularly ask incisive questions, and write opinions that contain extensive and complex legal reasoning.

Not only did he recommend closing it and prepared a Closing EC for that purpose prior to the inauguration, after it was kept open and transferred to the Mueller SCO, the same Agent told Jeannie Rhee and other Mueller SCO attorneys there was nothing to the allegations that Flynn was connected to Russian interests. He had investigated it thoroughly from July to December 2016, and found nothing. He said so in his first meeting, and afterwards told Strzok he wouldn't work with Rhee because she was intent on conducting a political witch-hunt. He only agreed to remain part of the Mueller SCO investigation when he was assured that he would work only with Brandon Van Grack who he had worked with on other matters. He wanted nothing to do with the Democrat activists brought in to staff the SCO.
Mark Hemingway@Heminator

1. The original agent in charge of Flynn's investigation recommended closing it; discredited Stzrok kept it open, and the whole thing was predicated on the dubious Logan Act. 2. Comey is on record admitting he violated FBI policy by not notifying WH counsel before conducting interview he allegedly lied in. 3. Then FBI violated policy by taking three weeks, instead of 3 to 5 days, to file the record of the interview, which was suspiciously edited. 4. Flynn has credibly maintained for a long time he only pled guilty due to the financial pressures of the government's lawsuit -- he sold a house to pay legal bills.

The day after Flynn was fired over a false Washington Post hit piece, the New York Times rushed in with another completely fabricated story, falsely claiming Trump aides had contact with Russian intelligence. That smear wasn’t improvised in the hours after Flynn’s firing. It had been prepared in advance and timed to go out the moment Flynn was ousted, setting the Road to Mueller in motion. Leaving aside how galling it is that the New York Times is now whining that one of the main victims of their own smears is finally getting compensated, it bears emphasizing just how painstaking and meticulous the coordination between deep state operatives and the media was. All these smears were planned in advance with careful attention to both the timing and the content of each attack. Yet no one has faced consequences, and the whole operation is barely ever talked about.

@lukewgoldstein The Democrats in Congress are blocking ALL of Trump's DOJ appointments by forcing a voice vote on each, one at a time. The DOJ is understaffed. How much more crime and fraud could the DOJ prosecute without this resistance action. Do you have the balls to ask the Dems?

Five months ago Thomas Massie said the following: ▪️There are associates of Epstein who are guilty of raping children who have never been investigated before. ▪️When the Epstein files are released, men guilty of raping children will go to prison. ▪️The FBI is currently covering up at least 20 cases of child rape related to the Epstein case. ▪️There were 1,000 Epstein victims and the FBI will not be able to cover up all the cases. ▪️If the names of the guilty men aren't released, he or a Democrat would read them on the floor of the house. Where are these 1,000 victims? Who are all these guilty men? Doesn't the public deserve to know? Asking these questions will get you called a "protector of pedophiles." Massie will most likely block you. Trust me, I know. Ro Khanna has repeated the same lines as Massie nightly on TV for about six months. Recently he was on the BBC talking about there is a cabal of men who are guilty of raping children that the FBI is protecting. Either Massie and Khanna have seen proof to back up their claims, or they have not. If they have seen proof, they are currently protecting child rapists by not disclosing what they know. If they haven't seen proof of what they have been claiming on TV for six months and it was just all assumptions, then it's one of the most despicable grifts of all time.

False equivalence. The baker didn't refuse to sell a cake, wasn't rude, and didn't kick the gay couple out of his store. He told them they could buy any cake without a message that went against his religious beliefs. He refused to use his decorating skills to create a cake that promoted a message he didn't believe in. Further differentiation between these two cases: The gay couple and the government sued the baker thereby attempting to use government force to compel him to do something against his religious beliefs. In contrast Governor Huckabee politely left the establishment when asked and did not initiate retaliatory legal action. But other than the above, these two episodes are exactly the same.

🚨 Three-time @IPCC_CH Lead Author Dr. Kevin Trenberth @NSF @NCAR_Science just called our new paper “ABSOLUTE NONSENSE” in the activist publication Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists WE COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED! Dr. Trenberth: You once called the inability to close the Earth’s energy budget a “travesty.” What changed? Should we have a real scientific debate on the foundations? Or just call things “absolute nonsense”? YOUR words over the years: • 2009 ClimateGate email: “... we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t.” • 2010 Science paper (w/ John Fasullo @jfasullo): “missing energy” in the climate system that could not be properly accounted for. • 2014 Journal of Climate paper (w/ Fasullo): “...state-of-the-art observations and basic analysis are unable to completely account for recent energy variability at interannual time scales, since they provide either an incoherent narrative or imply error bars too large to make the products useful.” Our new paper Cohler et al. 2026 doi.org/10.5281/zenodo… finishes what you started, Kevin, using basic physics anyone can understand. A few key points: Temperature: NOT the same thing as energy. It is an “intensive property.” When you average temperatures from thousands of drifting Argo floats, whose exact underwater paths are unknown, the result is just a number. It is not a real measure of total energy stored in the ocean. Uncertainty: We prove the real uncertainty is at least ±1 W/m² (more than 5x larger than what your IPCC and recent papers claim). That means today’s official “Earth’s energy imbalance” numbers are scientifically no different from zero. Satellites: The NASA CERES satellite data is quietly adjusted to match these invalid ocean-based calculations.

When I saw an influencer on Instagram talking about this I thought it had to be an exaggeration or distortion of the bill—an overly-simplified summary that missed some nuance in order to cast them as Disney villains. I read the bill. The Virginia Democrats *surgically* carved themselves (and ONLY themselves) out from their gun control measure. They are moving shamelessly without any pretense, like nothing I've ever seen before.

People today forget or simply can’t believe how depraved Ehrlich really was: Demanded that the FCC require TV shows to depict large families in a negative light, so that parents with multiple children would be shamed and ostracized by society. Proposed forcibly sterilizing millions of Americans by poisoning the water supply to make them infertile. He couldn’t think of a drug to do it “safely,” but wanted to do it anyway. Supported actual forced sterilization campaigns in India and China, where millions of people Warned that population growth would lead to starvation, but also proposed cutting off food aid to “overpopulated” countries to reduce their populations… by starvation.
