We are getting ready to head to the hospital for my husband’s surgery and just wanted to say thank you so much to all of who have shared messages, prayers and well wishes for Abraham. We are humbled and so grateful to be surrounded by aloha during this really tough time. 🙏🏽

Do you have to be a Texan to know what this is? This was considered a dessert growing up.

Don’t mention your age. Just post one of the earliest tv shows or cartoons you remember watching as a child. I’ll go first Duck Tales

Have you taken apart and recurved a dual advance distributor? Have you looked inside a Quadrajet carburetor? One time, in the Old Testament, Moses rebuilds one, and even he has a few parts left over. You'd be crying for your microcontroller in about 3 minutes.

Where were you when the Challenger exploded during launch? I know a lot of folks were in school and saw it happen live. I wasn’t born yet, but this seems to be one of those moments like the assassination of JFK. Everyone has a story. Tell me yours. I want to hear it.

@exQUIZitely Used to have to rearrange config.sys and autoexec.bat manually to get as much as you could into high memory. Memmaker was a great help once it was released.

How to play games today: 🖱️ Click the download/install button How to play games back in the day: ✅ Know autoexec.bat ✅ Know config.sys ✅ Know your DOS prompts ✅ Know himem.sys ✅ Know EMM386 and QEMM ✅ Pray that your sound card works properly ✅ IRQ 5 or 7? DMA 1? Address 220? Good luck! ✅ Pray that your base memory is high enough ✅ Pray that you have enough hard drive space ✅ Jumper settings on every new card ✅ Have different boot menus Kids today will never know the satisfaction of finally getting Wing Commander, Doom, SimCity 2000, or X-Wing running after three hours of tinkering. What a time to be alive (and mildly traumatized).

If you change your oil every 5,000 miles, know that i am judging you. Full synthetic oil is good for double or triple that length. Stop wasting your money.

I read Shogun in a week when my dad was dying, which was weirdly comforting. But that's the most I've read in a week, I think. Some people can chew through a lot of text!

@DavisMattek It's full of torturous bloviation, but it's an important story. For a lot of liberals, though, it's like nerds reading a book about jocks. They can't do it.
