YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE LATEST @TWITCH PARTNER!!! Fun fact, as of today in the last rolling year there are about 1.9 MILLION active Affiliate Streamers, about 55.7k Partners. Minboggling, there's a further 5.4 million people who stream on Twitch at least once a month unaffiliated. You fight for the top third to make any $$, and then the top 1% to go pro! You can do it too, if you want it enough! #twitch #partners #fulltimecontent #motivation

@FurryJokerTFF Unfortunately not really, most twitch audiences will bully you until you make a statement on politics, and if it's not the one they want then they will do anything they can to destroy you.

A good channel btw
Stix@ByteStix

For the first time since... beginning MMOByte, my first channel, back in 2016, I'm genuinely planning on stepping back from MMOs. This is not an April Fools joke, despite the day it falls on. Mrs Stix and I have been contemplating this for months. I did a video covering it (which I'll attach in a reply if you're interested,) but I've just seen irreparable damage done to the genre and it's in a state I don't see much future with. Every year we have a few incredible MMOs announced, and then they either end up canceled, becoming mobile games, or failing to live up to our expectations because they're just another soulless grind filled with pay to win. Blue Protocol Star Resonance has no content. Ashes of Creation is a scam. ArcheAge 2 is going to suffer in the same way ArcheAge 1 did, and is going less of an MMO route. Chrono Odyssey did so much damage to their reputation, I can't see them every living up to any form of hype. The Riot MMO is in a black hole with more staffing being assigned and quitting than any other game in recent memory. I'm sick of covering the same few games, pushing out the same content, regurgitating the same "is X MMO worth playing in X year" videos just to keep the channel afloat, while hyping games that are going to continue to suck. "Stepping back" doesn't mean quitting. But our channel, MMOByte, is going to rebrand in the next few days, with a renewed focus and passion on games we've grown to love in the absence of new MMOs: Survival games, Multiplayer games, RPGs, JRPGs. Upcoming, new and old. Both of us are more excited than ever, and have so many video ideas, which is something we haven't had in a long time. I have my Gacha channel, and I enjoy every minute of it. I'm incredibly passionate about Gacha games now, because they've grown so much over the years, which is the exact polar opposite of the MMO genre. So I have no plans of changing my Stix channel. But I think my MMO channel... requires this change. On a deep, emotional and personal level. And I cannot wait to take it in that new direction. We may have lost dozens of subscribers since announcing this, and again, I will continue to cover every new MMO announcement, but this allows me to do so much more, while not being stuck in the stagnant genre that is MMORPGs. I hope to see you all there, both on the new rebranded MMOByte channel, and continuing with my Stix Gacha channel! <3 I appreciate every opportunity I've had in MMOs, and every viewer I've earned. But this is necessary.

@johnanonle @JoshKale Exactly, these posts are fucking clueless, if you look at the amount of text on the page it’s constantly changing, it’s completely worthless Anyone who thinks this is cool has probably never built a website with a free site builder before

Every website you’ve ever used is broken in a way you never noticed and it’s been this way for 30 years... A Midjourney engineer finally just fixed it. It’s called Pretext: A tiny library that lets websites lay out text the way magazines and newspapers do, with text flowing around images, wrapping into columns, and fitting perfectly into any shape, all at 120fps. This has been basically impossible on the web for 30 years. Every website you’ve ever used relies on the same clunky system from the 90s to figure out where text goes on screen. Pretext bypasses it entirely. 500x faster. The demos look like they shouldn’t be possible in a browser. Go look.

My dear front-end developers (and anyone who’s interested in the future of interfaces): I have crawled through depths of hell to bring you, for the foreseeable years, one of the more important foundational pieces of UI engineering (if not in implementation then certainly at least in concept): Fast, accurate and comprehensive userland text measurement algorithm in pure TypeScript, usable for laying out entire web pages without CSS, bypassing DOM measurements and reflow

The actual ACTUAL truth from a 2010 Bitcoin owner who has been fascinated by crypto since day 1 Crypto is built on the idea that after suffering devastating losses, the core projects never retrace lower in the long term Every holder is HORRIFIED of this happening, ESP for btc
Alex Becker 🍊🏆🥇@ZssBecker

@0xReflection The actual truth In 2021 : Bitcoin at 67k was MASSIVELY overheated and a huge risk to buy. In 2026 : At 67k its at the most oversold levels in its history and a massive oppurtunity. Its in bad faith to not point this out

@matteopelleg You’re just fundamentally wrong. People listen to good music, they consume and derive meaning from good art I think you’re either old enough or new enough you’ve never had a new experience yet. But someday you’ll likely be fooled in an honest way and your opinion could flip

People are so confused about this tweet, so let me elaborate. Yes, AI will eventually create art that is as good or even better than humans. But, humans will not care for it, beside an initial curiosity, because art is not about art. It’s about the humans who created it and their stories. Art it’s an exploration of human limits. Humans are fundamentally not interested in what other species do, think or feel. How many people watch AI play chess?

It’s so painful to watch @LodgePokerATX staff released indefinitely. So many grieving what was a family run business in an old Blockbuster that bloomed into the biggest club in Texas. My husband @wacoscrub organized a fundraiser for displaced Lodge employees if you’d like to show the staff financial support. @JayVNguyen & @ScruFFuR have made pledges. There is also a Facebook group for gig work. And Lodge member @CoreySegall wrote an Workforce Transition plan. Links below 🔗⬇️
James Galloway@wacoscrub

The Lodge poker club was recently raided, leading to the sudden closure and job losses for many dedicated staff members who’ve been part of the community for years. Families are now facing immediate financial struggles to cover rent, bills, and daily expenses. I donated to this fundraiser because the cause really matters to me. If you're able, a share or small contribution can help these employees get through this tough time and show that the Lodge family is stronger together. gofund.me/8abf95692

This indie studio is making the world's first 5D platformer. This is genius! - Play in 2d and 3d at the same time - Actions mirror across both realities - Some objects & enemies only exist in one world It's called Screenbound. Would you play this?

@Pirat_Nation There are still remnants of it in the gameplay footage I studied - shakatu was way more evil, they renamed Providence to the abyss and dialed back the dialogue in the tutorial - it’s actually so much more tame, even split horn’s gnarly death scene got censored

Anonymous devs from Pearl Abyss have revealed the troubled development of Crimson Desert. The game began as an MMO prequel to Black Desert Online but was later converted to a single-player title after years of work. In its final stages, major leadership changes triggered significant story rewrites including renaming the protagonist and scrapping key mercenary elements. These last-minute shifts left the game with a disjointed narrative, mismatched features, and overly cluttered controls. The issues were only finalized shortly before launch.

Am I the only one who doesn't have any problems with the controls in Crimson Desert? They're very similar to RDR2 so I kind of got used to them quickly.

The keybindings are inefficient as hell for rpg players, no i/b for inventory, the left shift respam for horse riding or scrollwheel fishing are all absolute missses, It’s one thing to spam a button, it’s wild to be holding down left click to stay in the activity, reverse scrolling for 3-5min straight on a difficult fish, while direction reversing against the fish’s movement Keyboards have hundreds of one and two button combinations and none of them were activated well, fishing shouldn’t require holding down etc.
