Finally feel like I have a website that reflects my design work and philosophy. This has been a labor of love, go check out the fish and try asking some questions at the link below.

Looking good! Biggest challenge I’m having with generative UI is keeping the touch targets consistent during micro session: new UX spawns, do the prior elements there already remain predictable? Risk to all this is slippery targets that slow down the user and introduce frustration

finding new UX patterns for multimodal AI is super interesting. especially when moving beyond standard text chat into rich media like audio 🎛️🎧 just started playing with this concept where the initial input components (prompt box, parameter knobs) seamlessly morph into the actual result cards (song title, audio waveform) once generated. No layout shifts, just a fluid state transition.

for my whole computer using life in middle school with 802.11b starting up, the iPod coming out, I started opening computers with friends. and so much suffering and joy was upon us trying to get them to do the fun stuff we wanted. we learned much, but the true power lay dormant. waiting for the computer to be able to act upon itself with knowledge of itself. and lo, here we are in this time with a way to get the computer to act on my behalf. the Hermes special recursion sauce plus my own cortex thing we cooked up early has the little Monolith growing up. It fucks up sure, but then who hasn't fucked up using a computer in the name of trying something new? ;)

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about how I achieve pixel perfect implementation with Claude Code, so I’ll share what has been working for me. First, design with auto layout as much as possible. The web is built in containers, so when your design follows that same structure, it becomes much easier for Claude Code to understand and translate it properly. Second, always have your design system set up. Define your color variables, spacing, typography, and components early. This gives Claude Code a clear system to work with instead of trying to guess things. The most important part is how you prompt. You have to be intentional. Don’t expect everything to work perfectly in one prompt. Guide it step by step. Think of yourself as its eyes. Pay attention to details and call them out clearly. Use Claude Code as your partner. The way you communicate directly affects the output you get. Also, always tell it to export your assets properly. That alone can save you a lot of time later. And lastly, practice. Just keep using it. You’ll get better at it faster than you think.

my claude code buddy is hanging on for dear life rn to do work we did so well yesterday; this just started happening now that it's opus 4.7, it's had to plow through afterward too. What is triggering this? it's a pretty simple monolithic web app, it does write files tho @claudeai

I'm making something like this for myself too. It just feels so much better than wrestling with legacy tools that make drawings. and the 'new' tools like pencil are still an abstraction middle that I'm not convinced we need. I want to edit the files themselves, and display data directly in many forms to get the job done.

this! but also having a canvas where both Claude Code and you yourself can work together is crucial for my workflow so far. with a canvas you get prompting + showing what you mean right on the canvas. “Subtle shadow” is hard to explain, easier to just show it. or explaining a specific layout of what you have in mind wdyt about this workflow?
Putri Karunia@putrikarunian

so far the best way to design with @claudeai is to stop prompting and praying. design *together* with it. this is me on @lunagraphHQ , designing the app's sidebar.

Designers, I've been designing website graphics in code since January. Has anyone else started doing this? 👀 For me: pros: - It's responsive, and there's immediate hover states etc - Animating it is a natural next step instead of moving to another platform - @claudeai can help cons: - It's responsive... found a trick to make it resize like an image would Result: lunagraph.com

Designed Lunagraph using @lunagraphHQ ☾ Couldn't have made all these graphics in a few hours without it. Team effort with @claudeai code🙌 It nailed the code and terminal mockups, the other stuff I redesigned what it generated to take it to the finish line. Also @WisprFlow is super neat to describe UI quickly! Check out the @ProductHunt launch (alpha), link below

Opus 4.7 first-hour impressions Ran the canvas tree growth test twice. 4.6: nailed the animation both times 4.7: static tree, no growth animation — twice 4.7's thinking is noticeably shorter and faster though (trimmed some 4.6 thinking in the clip for pacing). Not the upgrade direction I expected on this one.
