Ok i love the MacOS Codex App, but wtf is this bug that 6/10 times when I try to do the "Cmd+Cmd" shortcut, the Codex App switches to a new thread, i have to delete the pasted info, switch to the right thread, and do the cmd^2 thing again? @thsottiaux pls help

@ssbrouhard @trycua We've completely re-implemented the Computer Use plugin with the new ChatGPT app. Could you give it another try today and let us know if you still see this issue?

PSA: If Codex Desktop Computer Use is broken on macOS, try the open-source CUA driver from @trycua My bundled Computer Use has been broken since May (“runtime app is missing” / transport closed). But standalone CUA works fine. CUA: github.com/trycua/cua Codex issue: github.com/openai/codex/i… Love codex and the desktop app. Hoping @OpenAIDevs get it sorted. CUA gets desktop automation working again, open source and inspectable.

@evsubr @romainhuet @thsottiaux @ChatGPTapp Can you go to your extensions list in Google Chrome and make sure the ChatGPT extension is installed and enabled? You could also try asking Codex to diagnose why it's not working!

Hello @romainhuet / @thsottiaux / @ChatGPTapp Browser use seems broken after the codex<->chatgpt merge. Upgraded the codex app and since then Chrome plugin started complaining.

The new ChatGPT Work comes with a new Computer Use experience. It's faster and introduces picture-in-picture, so you can keep an eye on Computer Use while it works!

Just tried using Codex Computer Use on windows failed and got this: "Computer Use fails during bootstrap due to an internal package export issue. The Computer Use plugin imports an internal @oai/sky file, but @oai/sky package.json does not export that subpath, so Node blocks the import before sky.list_apps() can run. Restarting Codex does not help because the same cached plugin/runtime pair is reused. This appears to be a Codex Computer Use packaging/version-skew bug, not a user configuration issue." @jxnlco @dkundel

By turning this on, your agent will be able to inspect: - runtime errors & console log - network requests, responses & failures - live DOM, storage, and page state This is really helpful for debugging gnarly bugs and making your apps more performant. Taking a 2 hour Waymo from South Bay to SF, but I don’t think the software is ready for it. The UI started glitching and I was able to crash the whole thing, twice, just by messing with the map.

in some sort of way ,, i feel very transported back into the old glorious skeuomorphic era of apple. not just because the new liquid glass resembles aqua , but also because of the outer black borders on it and on icons and of course the recovery of traditional HIG principles

@Daeshawn Wow sounds super annoying! Computer Use shouldn't do this. What app was Computer Use using at the time, and what app were you using?

Hey @AriX, one small gripe I have with Computer Use (Mac app) is that when I’m letting it do its thing and I’m typing, my typing gets disrupted. Randomly, what I’m typing ends up in a text box I didn't target, in an app window it made active, on another screen. Then I have to delete the text from one place and re-enter it into another, and help the agent get back on track. Is there a way to give it its own keyboard and not pull focus? If so, I’d love to see that in a future update.

Codex computer use is extremely underrated Pretty scary how good it has gotten
