@thelifeofrishi now i know why — i have a hono server that talks to redis on railway which gets called from vercel rather than talking to redis from the serverless function. but i had this happen with postgres. needed to add pgbouncer in front of the db.

materializing the full flow, couple of observations: — @render (2mins) is significantly fast than railway (10mins) in deployments, same codebase — redis on railway causes issues at scale on nextjs serverless, moved to @upstash — now planning to add circuit breaker, for cases when DB itself goes down 😂

this railway outage is so strange. my telegram bots are running fine but anything that’s exposed with a hostname is unreachable (including their own dashboard)

@pugson the issue is that for telegram, the host its self on Metal is up and fine but for anything requiring pub. net, it required access to our API hence the gcp block affecting you
