1. The coding experience of Codex is so much worse than Claude. I think the worse factor is opacity from prompt to output but I can think of others. 2. The models look genuinely dumber - Codex always has much lower taste than Claude when building a product. Is it compute efficient or compute allocation is basically smaller

i’ve gotten some strong critics for saying running is basically low-key therapy for a lot of people who lack purpose… cool seeing more and more people start to admit it

introducing Ascii: The pocket CTO you send it voice memos on Telegram or instructions from your desktop then Ascii handles it all: > writes code and sends you demos, PDF reports and hosted builds when finished > orchestrates many cloud coding agents working in parallel that can plan, code, test and use their desktop > uses codex, claude code SDKs & subscriptions, no API keys required > works on multiple repositories at once > setups cron jobs and webhooks to schedule work when you sleep > supports secrets, git hooks, full cloud machines config with sudo & 60fps desktop access Welcome to a new era of software building where coding agents aren't mere assistants anymore, now they're as valuable and proactive as a world-class CTO, always at arm's reach, in your pocket

I've long been underwhelmed by Google Docs, Word, and Notes as creative writing tools, so I built my own. It recreates the focus you get writing with pen and paper, but at the speed of a keyboard. Feels great!

Shipping is necessary but not sufficient to build an actual business. The consequence is that a small subset of the population is going to eat a bigger portion of the cake. Not that more people are going to get to eat the cake.

One thing I’ve noticed is that we’re all very bad at predicting what AI will be bad at. For example, a couple of years ago we thought AI would always struggle with creative tasks but now we see it’s becoming very good at them. On the flip side, there aren’t really many things we expect AI to be great at where it ends up failing. Projecting this into the future is both exciting and scary
