@diegocabezas01 I don't think datacenters in space won't be viable decades and decades. It's like moving to the Middle East because gas is cheap but continuing to commute to your job in your home country.

If the data centers will be in space and AI goes “rogue” we can’t just “unplug” it anymore

@simpsoka Stitch has become my favorite design software, (even before this big update) but now I still generate the design, do *some* tweaking and leave. I guess my brain is my final fav design tool and It's just easier to have more control for manual design in an IDE for me.

@louisagareiss @MacRumors If you were a person who spent thousands of years learning to ride a horse to get places, you wouldn't be too happy about some people using cars when they were invented.

We want to be transparent that we’re making changes to Gemini CLI that may impact your workflow, including more robust detection of policy-violating use cases, prioritizing traffic for certain types of accounts, and restricting Gemini Pro models for free tier users. We understand that these changes represent a significant shift, and apologize for any disruption this might cause you. For direct control over your own quotas and billing, use your own paid API key from AI Studio or Vertex AI. We’re here to support you, and will do our best to address your questions and concerns. As always, thanks for building with us. 🙏 You can read more here: github.com/google-gemini/…

5am workout = SMASHED! Decent week but could have been better. One deal on the books for a data scientist at a large bank. Leading the company in client submissions again this week (pretty much every week since I’ve started). But had a lot of interviews for a few python dev openings in the office space at a large bank that all went south. So I need to recalibrate to see what went wrong there. Next weeks interview activity is a bit light too. Tonight, I have dinner with some former colleagues who are also close friends at this point out in Red Bank. Now, let’s finish the week strong! LFG

On a flight and there’s a kid who’s been screaming for the last 15 minutes. Lots of passengers making faces at the parents. Before you do that, just remember, the parents are having a 100x worse time than you are. Guaranteed. Put in some headphones and relax.

@kimmonismus Doing 25 ChatGPT queries a day has anywhere from 1/8 to 1/3 of the carbon footprint of watching 45 minutes of Netflix, depending on the device. Everything people do is bad for the environment, AI isn't even in the top half of daily activities.

I really hate such articles. No one has ever asked whether we should stop building/developing cars/public transportation, developing the internet, or constructing hospitals because it might have ecological consequences. If ecology is truly the major problem with AI/data centers, then the question is *not* whether we should stop using AI to improve humanity's lives, but rather *how* we can ensure a more sustainable energy supply (fusion energy, solar energy, etc.). via The Guardian

@nurnabidesigner I have to say that is sounds like the model was given too much leeway. I was making an all-AI agent, but then realized it was easier to have Python do almost all of the task, have AI look at a screenshot & print the results, then finish with more Python. Less dev time.

A Dubai client messaged me at 2 AM. "Our chatbot responds in German. We're an Arabic English business." Not a bug. It was a ₹1.8 lakh AI chatbot built by an agency. Promised to handle 12 languages with "advanced NLP" and "enterprise-grade AI." But it couldn't answer simple size queries. Gave wrong recommendations. Confused "exchange" with "refund." Apparently, it learned German on its own. The owner said: "We're manually checking every response. What's the point?" We replaced it with a simple decision-tree bot. No AI, no machine learning, no fancy NLP. Just 8 predefined flows, clear buttons, and human handoff. Built in 10 days. In 60 days: → 73% of queries handled without humans → No wrong responses → No unexpected language switches → Customer satisfaction increased Here's what I learned: AI isn't always the answer. Sometimes, a simple, reliable solution outperforms the "smart" but flawed tech. Customers care about getting the right answer, fast, accurate, and consistent. Stop chasing impressive tech. Focus on results. Have you replaced "smart" tech with simpler solutions and seen better results?

@adamlyttleapps There are 932 reasons right there! If I am searching for an app, that detail jumps right out, then I notice the date and I consider the case closed.

You're still worrying about copycats? I can't explain it: but copycats just never get as much traction They can do everything 1:1 (title, app icon, even the app itself) But they never even remotely match the original in app store position, downloads or even revenue Feels so counterintuitive but there must be a reason for it 🤷🏻‍♂️

@thebuggeddev @GoogleAIStudio I have found that the key were working with Gemini is understanding that it generally does a better job than other models at the moment, but if it happens to go off the rails, it goes off hard.

Gemini 3.1 Pro one shotted this entire landing page just by referencing an attached design image in @GoogleAIStudio. Zero assets. All vibe coded, everything. AI is truly setting a standard here. Just 1–2 years ago, building a website like this would have been considered impressive. Now it’s becoming the baseline. Designers will need to push their creativity even further to stay ahead and bring more value to community. Full Prompt in 🧵

@kimmonismus There are too many people that don't like the current government administration and/or OpenAI for this to have legs. It will be forgotten publicly by Sunday. He might have to do a bit of groveling later to people he talked about but it's overall a minor speedbump.
