@vxunderground You do not. The law require OS vendors to ask a user account how old they are. The OS vendor is responsible, it is an attestation only, and it is completely unenforceable if anyone involved doesn't have a business nexus in the United States.

Let's talk about age verification from a dev perspective. You have a hobby. You make software for free and share it with the world. You now get accused of hating kids, network attacks against your servers, and told to lose your house for others freedom. Is that OK?

@BrodieOnLinux Developers have been getting thrown under the bus for just trying to comply with a law we all know is stupid. There's a reason most are silent. I've been both praised and cussed out. My project's server is getting attacks from Brazil now. They should be talking to lawmakers!

On the Systemd age stuff I do think the devs have done an absolutely god awful job at explaining why they are implementing this in Systemd, in this whole age attestation/verification situation System76 are basically the only ones trying to explain where they stand.

nvidia 5070 ~ 34.47 tokens per second (NOTE: nvidia test on windows, others on linux)

I compared two GPUs with the same LLM (microsoft phi 4). AMD Instinct mi 25 ~ 4 tokens per second 9060XT ~ 30 tokens per second. Both have rocm set up. Just sharing this because it's hard to find numbers for AMD GPUs at all.

The Colorado State Bill (SB26-51), which would require all Operating Systems (Linux, Windows, etc.) to include mandatory age verification… has now passed the Colorado Senate.
