🚨 THIS IS WILD. Rep. Menendez says he waited 15 HOURS outside an ICE facility trying to check on a detainee leading protests over conditions inside. He says he told officials: I’m not leaving until I know he’s okay. Then after waiting overnight… he finally gets inside. And the first thing they tell him? The man he came to see was gone. Moved at 2 AM. Read that again. A member of Congress shows up for an oversight visit… waits all night… and the detainee he specifically came to check on gets transferred before he can see him. Menendez says that detainee was helping organize a hunger strike because people inside wanted their stories heard. When I visit Delaney Hall, the immigrants detained there always talk about how much they value the American dream. They desire liberty and to return to work to provide for their families. They’re shocked that they can be stripped of due process and be put in a place like this—in what is supposed to be the land of the free. Trump wants to strip any pathway to citizenship and belonging in America, and destroy the American dream. And he’s doing it in places like Delaney Hall.

Yesterday I had the privilege of touring the floor at GMF Steel Group in Lakeland. These folks take tremendous pride in their product — and this company provides outstanding, skilled manufacturing jobs. These are the kind of jobs I’ll create more of as Governor.
