@PippaMusgrave1 @frombwtocolor An audio soundtrack absolutely exists, every lost Doctor Who story has the off-air audio in the archive. Doctor Who was fortunate in that regard, we have a record of every missing story on audio
English

@frombwtocolor It was only shown once. There are no telesnaps to guide the animator and as far as I am aware, no audio soundtrack either. It wasn't sold as an export and there are huge rights issues with Feast of Stephen e.g. the Beatles performance
English

What I could see them doing practically is releasing the first 5 parts as "Part 1" with only "The Traitors" being animated as that's now the sole missing one from the first 5. I think animating the surviving episodes too in this case would be a complete and utter waste of time.
Jacob Booth@DialConfession
With 2 eps of Daleks Master Plan found, I wonder if the approach to a potential animation might change. Typically now they’d animate an entire story in 16:9 colour, even with 1 or 2 existing eps. But with 5 now existing, maybe they could just animate the remaining 7 in 4:3 B&W?

@AmeliaWade0 @KrynoidRoots Id argue that the Producer/Script Editor pair is what makes the biggest difference in “eras” of the show. Verity Lambert’s stories feel very different depending on whether David Whitaker or Dennis Spooner is editing them. So Classic Who has more like 15+ or something like that
English

@KrynoidRoots There weren't "showrunners" back in classic, but in terms of primary producers, we had 9 different visions of Doctor Who in 20 years. In the same amount of time, we've had 3-4 different visions of Doctor Who in the modern day (depending if you count RTD2 separately), so yeah...
English

@gothoperas My first intro to classic who was Spearhead in Space and Robots of Death, got me hooked
English

we need to start recommending a variety of classic who stories to new who fans because i guarantee you that recommending genesis of the daleks to someone who’s never seen classic who is NOT going to hook them into the show
XiordS@XiordS_
I wanna hear your controversial Doctor Who opinions
English

@TARDIStime2 And he's the only "villain" who just wanted to live a normal life. First chance he gets to live in the matter universe and he just goes sightseeing in Amsterdam
English

@benjamin_cook I thought it was the Doctor in the atmospheric density jacked from The Web Planet
English

Has tonight's episode of Doctor Who confirmed… that the Abbot of Amboise was the Doctor all along??
Matthew Purchase@TheCyberdevil
My biggest question about the episode, how does The Doctor remember the Abbot of Amboise? They never met.
English

@19CEN @soundsmythprod I hear One is quite fond of rocks...
English

@soundsmythprod And what One would have done had it been Susan...
English

@soundsmythprod I mean, Ian and Barbara had a full day at work teaching, got kidnapped, then captured by cavemen, got radiation sickness and trekked across mutated swamps then nearly offed each other in the TARDIS before being stranded in the Himalayas. Belinda's got it easy so far...
English

@JohnBOB151639 @drborgle Beyond a very dodgy line from a different character (which was a well known phrase anyway), what did the original Toymaker say or do that was racist in any way?
English

@Tigfore @onceinawormmoon Does Cyril cheat though? He doesn’t tell them all the rules, which is a dick move but not “cheating” per say, he manipulates Dodo to leaving her space, again not really cheating either, same with the slipping powder. He’s a bad sport, but not a cheater by the rules
English

@onceinawormmoon I’d say the Toymaker finds loopholes (which is a form of cheating but also a way of playing by the rules)
Cyril, as an extension of the Toymaker, definitely cheats, but I’d say by being a separate entity, he’s free of the Toymaker’s constraints
English

@josh_snares Probably a lot like the space station in Trial of a Time Lord
English

@nonbinarypstain A new show runner, and personally, not a super fan either
English

@_PigginTeaBreak The show needs a head script editor rather than a head writer. Give dozens a writers the chance to write a story and have your script editor make sure the characters are consistent throughout
English

@DarlinUnrealLiz @ProductionsJAW I hate to be that kinda person, but “indigestion” in reference to the TARDIS groaning actually crops up way back in the Movie with the 8th Doctor when the Eye of Harmony engulfs the Master
English

@ProductionsJAW The first time it groans with “indigestion” is The Impossible Planet, in S2. Lots of parallels in that double ep, too
English

The thing that fascinates me most about this running theme is that it was already happening before the salt/toymaker etc. The TARDIS has basically been buggered since 14 came into existence.
Doctor Who@bbcdoctorwho
Did anyone else hear that...? 😳 #DoctorWho
English

@TheCyberdevil This is why I’m waiting till the seasons finished to judge these episode so far. Way too many ongoing plots to make a call on a story alone.
English

@Tigfore I kinda interpreted it as the King & Queen / Joey & Clara were sad cases of the Toymaker imprisonment, but Cyril was kinda into it, like a psychopath that lost but now enjoyed being a competitor
English

@mastersthomas38 the other players definitely, but Cyril felt different
