Fintwits got really quiet all of a sudden. Here’s the thing. There was a lot of opportunities to mitigate risk on Friday. If you’re stuck in oversized losses, you have to do some reflection on what mental hang up or flaw in your process prevented you from managing risk.

@aperiwal93 @TradeZella My risk is 0.25% or less and I buy puts only when I see a good short opportunity like $CAR “Decapitation strategy “

@AfroditeWalker @Scot1andT Do you mean 1% between stop and entry price? How do you get so tight entries without being stopped?

@Scot1andT I was lucky/prepared this time, although I still remember the pain that I don’t want to feel ever again. The lessons that I learned: 1% risk, 10% position size, set the stop loss so you don’t give back your profits. Alarm ⏰ on QQQ Set your boundaries and never ever violate them.

@801010athlete How do you manage risk? Do you take a fix portfolio position size (eg 10%) or a fixed ec% loss (e.g. 1%)?

Find a way in leaders, manage risk. That’s it, stop over complicating things. Human nature is wild. Majority only wants these names when extended and they FOMO. They already told you who the leaders are, your job is to get in when nobody is FOMO’ing. This is all I preach.

@AmeetRai What size do you use per trade? How much of portfolio or ec%? If these happen a few times you would need a lot size to capture good annual return...

100% annual account growth = • 10% position sizing • 1 trade per day on average • 33% win rate • 10% average win • 0.50% average loss • 25-day average hold on winners • 1-day hold on losers

YTD returns as of March 31, 2026 (and also how last week closed on April 2, 2026): - My drawdowns were far too large in March (see charts!). I sold more often into weakness rather than selling into strength. When names become very extended, I need to focus on selling vs holding as they are inevitably going to pullback and consolidate - Tried to get into and took either too many and/or too large of losses on $BE $NBIS $PL $AXTI $RKLB $AAOI. Am now holding $PL and $AAOI at better entries. No desire to be in $BE $NBIS $RKLB for now - Took gains on $CIEN (wish I didn't sell this one!), $GEV (sold this on Thursday, it's a strong name that I had $600- $650 area entries on but money will do better in faster moving names), $DOCN (sold this on Thursday at close and maybe shouldn't have), and smaller gains on $MU $NAVN $VRT etc. - The best traders are the best at taking losses. In April, my main focus is on taking much, much smaller losses aka getting out much faster (I really like how @RealSimpleAriel takes very small losses & talks about not holding red names overnight) & letting my account move around more often by taking smaller 4%+ gains and churning into other names which @mmonis often talks about and I have yet to be successful at - List of names I traded in March: GEV DOCN PL AXTI AAOI SNDK LITE NAVN BW CIEN BE PLTR MU RKLB NBIS VRT CRCL FSLY GLW ASTS - Still learning & still trying to get better every day

$AXTI tried again on the 25th, A weaker close and an opportunity to add on the short side several times that day. Adds on the 26th and 27th as the stock tried to go green. Red/green are areas I like to keep an eye on for adds. This was the trade that made the month.

Taking advantage of the current conditions to take the time to develop tools to optimize my process. I'm currently working on a risk-focused execution tool where any trade requires a stop loss. Most trading execution tools are clunky and have too many steps. Here is what my interface will likely look like: For a market order, you enter the stop first. For speed, I can click on a button below it to select if I want to put my stop at the high of the day for a market short order, or previous close, ... (inspired by @traderwillhu) Then I don't have to input any position size. I have my default risk per trade set at, for example, 0.3%. The script calculates instantly, based on the account value and the stop loss my position size. I'll also put in place behind the scene a maximum position size percentage. E.g.: my max % per position is 20%. If the automatically calculated position is large than 20%, the number of shares will adjust so the position is not larger than 20% of the account value. So the flow is: 1- Type a Ticker 2- Click on a Stop Loss / Enter a Stop Loss 3- Execute I'll also implement an automated Take Profit feature, 3 Stop Losses from @jfsrev , and other trade types like Stop Buy/Sell or ORB. --------------------------------------- Vibe Coding has opened many doors for regular folks. The most difficult part is knowing exactly what you want to achieve, in great details, because no matter how good the AI is, it can't read your mind.

@HansAmato What protocol did you use to fix the gut?

Procrastination isn't about discipline. It's about your brain running out of gas. That resistance when you sit down to work? Not laziness. Not a character flaw. Your prefrontal cortex literally can't fire because it doesn't have the dopamine it needs to START anything. Dopamine isn't just "feel good" juice. It's the starting pistol. Your brain needs a baseline level just to begin a task (not enjoy it, just BEGIN it). When that baseline tanks you sit there staring at the screen knowing exactly what to do but physically unable to move. Then you hate yourself. Then the shame kills what little dopamine you had left. I was stuck in this for years. Tried every system. Pomodoro. Time blocking. Accountability partners. Apps that shame you. Nothing worked because nothing fixed why my brain couldn't pull the trigger. What was actually breaking: My gut was inflamed as hell, messing up the pathway that turns protein into dopamine. Inflamed gut = broken supply chain to your brain. I was eating maybe 1800 calories because some fitness guy convinced me deficits were healthy forever. My body shut down everything "non-essential" to survive. Motivation is non-essential when you're starving. Stress was jacking my cortisol through the roof. Cortisol and dopamine fight for the same raw materials. Cortisol always wins. Phone scrolling first thing in the morning was burning through whatever dopamine I DID make, leaving nothing for real work. What actually worked: Ate like a human again. Red meat, eggs, potatoes, salt. You can't make dopamine from air. Fixed my gut (took about 6 weeks). Suddenly my brain could actually use the protein I was eating. Ditched the cardio that was spiking cortisol daily. Cold morning light instead of scrolling. Reset my dopamine floor instead of nuking it by 8am. Same person. Same brain. Different biology. If you can work when there's a panic deadline but can't start without one, you don't have a willpower problem. Your dopamine floor is too low to initiate without adrenaline doing the heavy lifting. btw I put the full gut repair thing on my substack if you're interested

L. Reuteri: The Yogi Master It's not yogurt. It's Yogear. I have a sour/tangy palate so I love this stuff. I have to make sure I'm eating the same amount of my other homemade yogears/kefir to balance my gut microbiome otherwise I'd eat this all day long. Here's how to make it. -x10 Tablets (or 2 Tbsp previous batch + 2 Tablets) BioGia Gastrus Chewables with L. reuteri ATCC PTA 6475 & L. Reuteri DSM 17938 strains -x1 quart Organic Half & Half -x2 Tbsp FOS (Organic Inulin Powder) Crush the tablets with rolling pin Add crushed tablets & FOS to mixing bowl Lightly heat a 1/4 cup of Half & Half Slowly add heated 1/2 & 1/2 to mix bowl while whisking to make a good slurry Let the slurry sit for 5 min & whisk again Add rest of the Half & Half and whisk till combined
