🚨 #BREAKING: Somalia has introduced new maritime regulations affecting all ports, including Berbera, in its northern separatist region of 'Somaliland'. Global shipping giant A.P. Moller–Maersk has said it has suspended new cargo bookings to and from Berbera Port. The company has not provided a reason for the suspension, though it is believed to be linked to the newly announced directives. Somalia said it will implement updated rules for the maritime sector, requiring all international shipping lines to comply with national regulations for entry and exit through its sea, air and land borders. Companies that fail to abide by the directives may face sanctions.
