Hello, we hope to have a major update soon on our legal battle to retrieve our IP: In the meantime, we want to note that we are aware of @HedProtag’s work on SIN Chronicles, which, in our view, appears to be an effort to continue misappropriating the IP at issue and financially benefiting from it. SIN Chronicles is evidently derivative of SSRWives and seems to replicate its core mechanics, art, and overall style. We intend to enforce our legal rights with respect to the IP we purchased, including against any original or derivative works that unlawfully infringe upon or exploit that IP. We will also pursue all appropriate remedies against parties who are financing, supporting, or otherwise contributing to the continued exploitation of that property and the resulting unjust enrichment.

@EmanueleCirani Yeah I think Lynch bringing his own vision just makes for an interesting and surreal speculative fiction film - like LOTR it's unfilmable in it's original form but unlike Jackson, Lynch didn't delete the key nature of the work and insert his own schtick- Lynch built from it.

My Mum Annette actually walked out of the cinema when she went to see this - during the scene where the Baron pulls the kid's heart plug then greases himself all over him... The new Dune is shit. It gives nothing and takes away from the writing.

Fun fact: the scene with Garland and the little girl was 6 minutes long in the original cut. When we previewed it a woman stood up during the scene, looked back where we were sitting and yelled, “Why are you doing this to us?!” We trimmed it down.

@JeromeFosterII @lilrobbergirl I’m a former farmer and the image is a lie. We have drained some water runoff areas. It didn’t kill off any insects. The water wasn’t deep enough to support fish, and very little impact to small animals. Don’t let armchair city slickers fool you with their fantasy.

Mono-culture farming devastates the rest of nature. Farmlands continue to lose much of their wildlife, bees, birds, insects, amphibians. But each generation measures "normal" nature against what existed in their childhood; not what existed before. So we don't mourn the Auroch, Quagga, Eastern Elk, or drained wetland. We never knew them. We each inherit a slightly emptier world & call it normal, a shifting baseline syndrome. Humans are remarkably adaptive... dangerously so.

You can link this back to TWotC catering to the mentally ill and the fringe weirdos and the decay of the D&D product. 5e, while not a great product, was fine after launch where it tried to pull the brand back after 4e’s World of Warcraftesque rule set. It was D&D on easy mode, but still somewhat playable until it became furry and barista time.
