Neros is honored to announce its selection by the US Army for its Purpose-Built Attritable System (PBAS) program. businesswire.com/news/home/2025… Our company is one of the primary manufacturers chosen to deliver effective, modular, and mission-adaptable FPV drone capabilities to platoon-level units across the force. The PBAS program marks a major capability increase for the Army, as it will field FPV systems across the force. Neros will supply the Army with our 5-inch and 10-inch Archer / Archer Strike drone platforms, a next-generation evolution of the battlefield-tested Archer 8-inch system, in addition to second generation of our long range, anti-jam ground control station. The Archer system is already being produced at scale in thousands per month, allowing us to quickly meet the need of the Army. We are grateful to the Army for the opportunity to support our warfighters with domestically produced, globally competitive FPV capabilities.

Without a drone industrial base, America's position as the world superpower will falter. @USArmy, @PeteHegseth, and @SecArmy are not going to let this happen. Shortly after announcing their plan to buy 1 million drones, Neros was selected as the largest supplier for the Army's Purpose Built Attritable Systems (PBAS) "aka FPV Program".

Raising big venture rounds is often a mirage The aspiration should be building products that change the world @neros_tech is announcing another fundraise and got a NYT profile But what actually matters is that they’ve built a product that is changing the battlefield 🇺🇸

Last week the U.S. Army announced they will buy 1 million drones over the next two years- today Neros is announcing our selection for the Army’s Purpose Built Attritable System (PBAS) program and a $75M series B fundraise led by Sequoia Capital.

I recently started spending time in local cemeteries visiting the graves of veterans and I came across this unassuming headstone of a Marine that, judging by the date and the unit, I assumed he was killed in action on Okinawa. When I got home and did a quick search I found that he was unfortunately killed on Okinawa, but he earned the Silver Star. I wanted to share a little bit of Lee Eck’s story here for you guys in hopes that he isn’t another soul lost to time. - “The President of the United States of America takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Posthumously) to Private Lee Curtis Eck, United States Marine Corps, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity as a Rifleman, serving with a platoon of Company G, Third Battalion, Twenty-ninth Marines, SIXTH Marine Division during action against enemy Japanese forces at Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands, on 16 May 1945. - With his platoon pinned down and suffering heavy casualties under a shattering barrage laid down by the enemy while maintaining a defensive position on the reverse slope of a strategic hill, Private Eck unhesitatingly volunteered to dig a trench across the topographical crest to the forward slope where he could observe the Japanese. Fiercely aggressive, he worked for more than an hour under the blistering shellfire, digging in the hard soil with his entrenching tool until he had cut a shallow pass leading to the area. - Concerned only for the safety if his comrades, he dauntlessly remained in the exposed fire-swept outpost alone, constantly keeping his platoon informed as to the enemy movements and protecting it from surprise counter-attacks until he was mortally wounded by a bursting shell more than two hours later. - By his daring initiative, great personal valor and cool courage in the face of tremendous odds, Private Eck contributed to the saving of many lives and to the success of the bitterly fought Okinawa Campaign. His heroic conduct throughout reflects the highest credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service. He gallantly gave his life for his country.” - Rest In Peace, Marine.

The Canyon Fire is 1,052 acres and 0% contained. It’s almost as if Gavin Newsom’s constant attempts to troll President Trump have done nothing for California.

Today, I sucked it up and went up on lead trace with a section from LAR as F 2/8 conducted a movement-to-contact with arty, 81s, and Rotary-Wing CAS. The audio suffers at brief times due to wind and noise, but this provides a good example of combined arms. I'll take questions.

Hammett Bowen was a twenty-one year old staff sergeant serving with the 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam in 1969. Ambushed while leading a small recon patrol, Bowen skillfully suppressed the enemy and allowed the rest of his team to withdraw. When an enemy grenade landed in their midst, Bowen smothered the explosion, saving his three fellow soldier's lives at the cost of his own. Bowen, who was born and raised in Florida, posthumously received the Medal of Honor. Please honor and remember this great American hero and leader. You can read his Medal of Honor citation here. BOWEN, HAMMETT L., JR. Rank and organization: Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army, Company C, 2d Battalion, 14th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division. Place and date: Binh Duong Province, Republic of Vietnam, 27 June 1969. Entered service at: Jacksonville, Fla. Born: 30 November 1947, Lagrange, Ga. Citation: S/Sgt. Bowen distinguished himself while serving as a platoon sergeant during combat operations in Binh Duong Province, Republic of Vietnam. S/Sgt. Bowen’s platoon was advancing on a reconnaissance mission into enemy controlled terrain when it came under the withering crossfire of small arms and grenades from an enemy ambush force. S/Sgt. Bowen placed heavy suppressive fire on the enemy positions and ordered his men to fall back. As the platoon was moving back, an enemy grenade was thrown amid S/Sgt. Bowen and 3 of his men. Sensing the danger to his comrades, S/Sgt. Bowen shouted a warning to his men and hurled himself on the grenade, absorbing the explosion with his body while saving the lives of his fellow soldiers. S/Sgt. Bowen’s extraordinary courage and concern for his men at the cost of his life served as an inspiration to his comrades and are in the highest traditions of the military service and the U.S. Army.

(2) Epperson posthumously received the Medal of Honor. Please honor and remember this great Marine! *EPPERSON, HAROLD GLENN Rank and organization: Private First Class, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Born: 14 July 1923, Akron, Ohio. Accredited to: Ohio. Citation: For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving with the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, 2d Marine Division, in action against enemy Japanese forces on the Island of Saipan in the Marianas, on 25 June 1944. With his machinegun emplacement bearing the full brunt of a fanatic assault initiated by the Japanese under cover of predawn darkness, Pfc. Epperson manned his weapon with determined aggressiveness, fighting furiously in the defense of his battalion’s position and maintaining a steady stream of devastating fire against rapidly infiltrating hostile troops to aid materially in annihilating several of the enemy and in breaking the abortive attack. Suddenly a Japanese soldier, assumed to be dead, sprang up and hurled a powerful hand grenade into the emplacement. Determined to save his comrades, Pfc. Epperson unhesitatingly chose to sacrifice himself and, diving upon the deadly missile, absorbed the shattering violence of the exploding charge in his own body. Stouthearted and indomitable in the face of certain death, Pfc. Epperson fearlessly yielded his own life that his able comrades might carry on the relentless battle against a ruthless enemy. His superb valor and unfaltering devotion to duty throughout reflect the highest credit upon himself and upon the U.S. Naval Service. He gallantly gave his life for his country.

(1) On this day in 1944 on the island of Saipan, Marine Private First Class Harold Epperson held a defensive position all night in the face of successive banzai attacks. When a Japanese soldier tossed an enemy grenade into his fighting position, Epperson threw himself on the bomb and absorbed the blast.
