Every major Zelda game ranked by FAVORITE. Within tiers, ranking is left to right. I judge each game individually, not by era. This may look schizophrenic to people who expect, eg, OoT fans to love TP. A few games are unfinished, but I got far enough for an informed opinion.

@MichaelFKane I love A Link To The Past, and Ocarina is absolutely an expansion of its structure. But it still brings a lot more to the table than TP does. It almost single-handily invent the grammar of 3D action games, and had to figure out how Zelda dungeons would work in 3D.

Ocarina of Time is one of the greatest works of the medium, a genuinely beautiful work of art. Twilight Princess, while a good game, is primarily a reheated version of OOT made for edgy 2000s hot topic kids who spent 3 years crying about cell-shading.
