@Alethei79908698 @BristolGalt The Ottomans farmed out most judicial questions to the millets. The Roman system preserved ius gentium for non-citizens and made all sorts of class distinctions within Roman law, such as for the infames. To repeat: treating unlike persons alike produces injustice.

@n_observer @BristolGalt Hard to do in practice. One law for all is the only workable solution in multicultural, multiethnic societies. Worked for the Romans, worked for the Ottomans.

The entire post-war liberal world order rests on the assertion that there are no meaningful IQ or personality differences between races. A lie. A founding document was the UNESCO Statement on race (1950) written by pseudoscientists with names like Claude Lévi-Strauss, Morris Ginsberg and Israel Ehrenberg. Many real scientists objected at the time but were largely ignored. It has been enforced dogma ever since and Western Civilisation is crumbling trying to maintain the lie.

@Alethei79908698 @BristolGalt Treating unlike people all alike is going inevitably to be unjust. Treating people justly, according to their particulars, but with a humane minimum amount of consideration, is the best possible outcome.

@BristolGalt In many people's minds there seems to be a confusion between believing that all people should be treated equally (very arguable and probably a good thing) and believing that all people are basically the same (an observably false, nonsensical proposition).

@ahardtospell George Lucas is the master of the adage "Good artists copy, great artists steal". Star Wars is made up of elements taken from a thousand other things, yet ends up greater than the sum of its parts, a classic that feels unique and unlike anything else that came before,

She proved no such thing and was killed for her role in city politics, not her religion or her science: "Socrates Scholasticus presents Hypatia's murder as entirely politically motivated and makes no mention of any role that Hypatia's paganism might have played in her death . . . . No evidence has been found that Hypatia ever published any independent works on philosophy and she does not appear to have made any groundbreaking mathematical discoveries." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypatia

@Based_Mr_L Well, they may not have burned mathematician Hypatia of Alexandria alive. They only tore her limb from limb. Hypatia of Alexandria proved mathematically that the planets move in elliptical orbits around the sun. Christians didn't seem to like that.

@RealWashedGamer @velodus Chamberlain shot 61.3% from the line underhand, which is how he shot that season. If he'd stuck with it, that percentage would likely have increased. A 61% shooter has a 50% chance of hitting 28 of 32 attempts after about 600 games. Chamberlain played over 1,200.

It’s mostly a meme gone too far but considering what has been filmed (from even wilt games before that) it’s a bit odd that we’ve only got the last 5 mins recorded on radio But, as I’ve said for years, the 28/32 from the line for wilt, a career 50% shooter, is the least believable part of it

The "Wilt never scored 100" truthers are fascinating to me because that game was played in front of reporters and photographers and thousands of fans and there's a radio call of the game. Like how deep do you think this conspiracy goes, and to what end?

I was taught at school that the last time mainland Britain was invaded was in 1066, by the Normans. Apart from speaking French, the invaders were much like us. They shared our religion and North European DNA. The Normans who came over and stayed tended to be of a higher social order, and their presence led to changes (improvements?) in the country's governance, culture, and society. It is believed that less than 10,000 Normans came to Britain. That's about 3 months' worth of illegal migrants. We need to ensure that the current invaders do not become our conquerors.

I’ll break it down to you why this argument doesn’t work. Scripture shows that James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas as being kids of another Mary also known as ‘Mary of Clopas’ or ‘Wife of Clopas’ see John 19:25. These four appear in together in Matthew 27:56 & Mark 15:40 and are consistently presented in the Gospels as cousins of Jesus. Why do the Gospels use two forms for the same name? Well bc the authors wrote in Greek for mixed audiences and Alphaeus was the more familiar Greek rendering of the Aramaic name Clopas.

What did you think submarine warfare meant? Vibes? Essays?
Tuomas Malinen@mtmalinen

So, let me get this straight, @SecWar . You just sank an Iranian frigate, which was returning from an international naval exercise in India, near Sri Lanka. In other words, you attacked an unsuspecting "enemy ship" in international waters, thousands of nautical miles from the combat zone in the Middle East. You know, who conducted such cowardly attacks on unsuspecting naval targets before you? Nazi Germany.

AI Overview "Becky" came first as an American slang term. While "Karen" gained popularity around 2016–2020 to describe an entitled white woman, "Becky" has roots as a slang term dating back to Sir Mix-a-Lot’s 1992 song "Baby Got Back," which used the name to represent a stereotypical white woman. Dictionary.com Dictionary.com +4 Becky (Early 1990s): Popularized in 1992 by Sir Mix-a-Lot, the term became a slang reference for a generic, often suburban white woman. Karen (Mid-2010s): Peaked as a term in 2020, but appeared around 2014–2016 to describe an entitled, aggressive white woman who demands to "speak to the manager".

Karen was an early manifestation of the seething hatred brown people and liberals have for Whites. It was a safe way for them to express it without straight up saying it before it was as socially acceptable to hate Whites as it is today. The irony of a game like this is that “Karens” are some of the few people willing to defend what little remains of manner and decorum in this world, a core aspect of White culture. Of course everyone knows who really destroyed public spaces in American.

If I was POTUS, I would conduct an air war in the following, extremely "kino" fashion: Step 1: Stealth aircraft & cruise missiles. Take down all radars and modern AA systems. Step 2: B-52s, B1Bs, F-18s, etc. Flatten anything that might be called anti-air. Step 3: With all air defenses down, send in a few refurbished B-17s and other warbirds for old time's sake, just to stunt on 'em. Really fuck with their heads and send in a Stuka or Me 262.
