My boomer uncle worked at Ford for 31 years. Full pension. Paid off house. $400k in a 401k he never touched. Every holiday he’d say “this family will be taken care of when I’m gone.” He died in March. Left everything to his girlfriend of 8 months. We didn’t know she existed.
