it's been exhilarating being a day 0 investor & partner with @apoorva_mehta @LakshAithani and @olshav as they build ABUNDANCE. Agentic harnesses, next gen reasoning models, and an unabashed hunt for rapid iteration and dispassionate truth seeking will upend global markets -- starting with the deeply technical and often scientifically opaque (think: rvmd, sk hynix, and sndk over the last 24 months). work we've seen pioneered at ABUNDANCE has changed our thinking internally at @_DimensionCap and our view on how to invest and what to build for the coming decade the team is hiring for an extremely small number of three-sigma+ builers and polymaths. if that is you, you'll know how to get in touch

@Dhruv_Sumathi and I made something :) we’ve been filming the beauty of organ preservation research at @untillabs for a while now. it’s not an explainer or company video, it’s a window into how it feels to work on this problem from the inside.

We just updated this chart for our case study. I have a feeling it's outdated again.

Some exciting news to share — we've made the world's first magnetically controlled antibody! What is a magnetically controlled antibody? It's an antibody drug that you can turn on and off, wherever you want in the body. (1/9) x.com/ashleevance/st…

We worked with @AnthropicAI to teach Claude how to be a better electrical engineer. Claude 4.5 is the first frontier model trained with our data, and we saw a major improvement in both accuracy and speed for electrical reference design generation. Huge thanks to @cojennin and the Anthropic team for making this possible. claude.com/blog/making-cl…

this was a really fun bit of work I got to do with the incredibly cracked folks at @diodeinc! claude.com/blog/making-cl…

@nwilliams030 Very hard to plan for the volume of labor a priory - at every stage have found this, 0-> 1 and 1 -> 2. Nothing I found could really adequately prepare you (and I did a lot of reading beforehand!)

with multiple kids/yrs under the belt a lot of these parenting tasks seem to be solidified & known. I feel like a lot of division of labor debates I’ve seen online recently translate to “we thought the division of labor was communicated clearly to each other but it wasn’t”

i think it’s interesting how when people have a lot of children, spousal division of labor (on average!!) becomes a lot more clear cut i feel like in pregnancy/baby/1/2 kids stage it’s hard not to see so much of the conflict as “management transition” struggle in the abstract

This is such a fun one! Some additions: -Ron Wayne selling his 10% stake in Apple for $800 -Excite turning down a Google acquisition for $750k because “Google’s algorithm is too good and would reduce page views as people leave” -Kodak inventing the digital camera then not selling it because they were worried about suppressing film sales -SoftBank selling 4.9% of Nvidia in 209 to plow money into WeWork -Quibi -AOL/Time Warner merger -Ballmer fighting Gates and Nadella to acquire Nokia for $7.2B (they wrote off the entire thing) -Ron Johnson killing sales and coupons at JC Penney -Borders and Toys R Us both outsourcing tech to Amazon then getting eaten alive by it and dying -Cisco buying the flip camera company for $590M after the iPhone was already out -eBay’s management of PayPal - should have been a trillion dollar company I’m on a flight to Cleveland so a special section here (my wife is from CLE and I’m from Pittsburgh, we’ve got a good rivalry): -Balloonfest ‘86: a depressed Cleveland wanted an event to “put them back on the map” and decided that they would set a world record in balloons launched with a huge celebration. The balloons didn’t float away and they had to stop flights at the airport and 2 people died -the Cleveland Indians did a 10 cent beer night and drunk fans went wild- fans stormed the field, ripped off pieces of stadium seating and used them as a weapon, etc. -Cleveland-based Hoover had a special where you could get 2 round trip flights if you bought a vacuum. They assumed only a small percent would redeem, but word spread and >200k redeeemed. It cost the company so much that they had to sell their Europe division to pay the debt. What else?
