@Mr_Husky1 They should ask! However, I never had a problem with letting someone touch my belly, but they all asked first. I have no siblings, so maybe there's no sister thinking we are still 10 and it's ok to do that? I would have hated someone just doing it, tho!

30 weeks pregnant, and I'm really over people touching me. My sister did it, and I said "please don't touch me without permission." She got really defensive, so I put my hands on her tummy too and told her that just because I'm pregnant she shouldn't just touch me at random. This caused a massive argument. Am I overreacting for this, or did I do the right thing?

SHE REPORTED NHS FRAUD. THEY GAVE HER CANCER AND A P45 Sharmila Chowdhury @sharmilaxx spent 30 years working in the @NHS without a single disciplinary mark. Then she caught two consultant radiologists at Ealing Hospital NHS Trust billing the NHS for sessions they were spending at a private hospital down the road. Double-dipping on public money. Straightforward fraud. She reported it. To her line manager. To the Medical Director. To the HR Director. To Counter Fraud. To the Chief Executive. To Number 10. To the Treasury. She had a paper trail so solid that ITV later sent undercover cameras to the hospital and caught the same consultants still at it years later, taking cash from patients for private ultrasounds inside an NHS building. The Trust's response? They sacked her. On fabricated counter-allegations. The man who raised those allegations later sent an email signed off "0800-F***-YOU-B****." He received a 'Top Mentor' award from the Trust that same year. Sharmila won at tribunal. She won her appeal. The judge asked the Trust to reinstate her. The Trust said no. She was blacklisted across the NHS. One job offer was withdrawn the moment they found out who she was. Her legal costs hit £130,000. She developed breast and lung cancer, which her doctors believe is linked to the years of sustained stress. The consultants kept their jobs. George Osborne couldn't get involved. Andrew Lansley couldn't get involved. David Cameron couldn't get involved. Because everyone decided it was an "employment matter." A proven fraud case, covered by ITV, the Guardian, Daily Mail and Channel 4, and the official position of Her Majesty's Government was: not our problem. This is what the UK does to people who try to protect public money. It destroys them and promotes the people they were trying to stop. @probablyautist @ElmaAndRupert @nickimoraa In my earlier post I did say that it was to get what they wanted I never said they enjoyed BJ's cause at 12 that would make them sexually mature when they havent developed yet. I only remember they had the confidence and the lipgloss.

One of the things we don’t talk about enough is what a hypersexualised culture does to young girls. I remember being around 13 and already scared of “heterosexual” sex because were told it was inevitable, that it would hurt, that penetration was something that had to happen to “take away” your virginity, and that boys would expect things things such as a blow job. When I said I didn’t want that, I was mocked, dismissed, and told when I grow up I’d want that for myself. Meanwhile, boys are raised to look forward to sex, to see it as something they gain and take from girls. Girls, on the other hand, are prepared to expect discomfort, pressure, even humiliation as part of the experience. This is a very fucked up way to socialise children and teenagers, and I hope none of you are passing these ideas on to your kids.

@RadMothering Wait what? To you and all the women commenting similarly, why on earth did mums think their daughters starting meses make them whores? Like what the actual fuck? It's not simply toxic and traumatizing, it's deranged thinking I'm so sorry 😢

I learned about periods in school, not from my mother. When I got mine, I hid it from her for months because I knew what her reaction would be. When I made a mistake and bled on a towel after a shower, she discovered it and grounded me. From that point forward she accused me of being a whore because I had my period. She didn't buy me pads but expected that because I was a whore now, that I'd use her tampons and thin panty liners. I got my period supplies at school or wadded up toilet paper because I didn't know anything about tampons. I 100% was never taught a thing about when menses starts to go away. And now it doesn't even matter because my wicked mother isn't in my life. We were not prepared. We were shamed. Some of us worse than others. The rare few had good mothers who cared for them and told them what they needed to know. Collectively we are ignorant because we were never told.

Peri/menopause isn’t a “new trend.” It’s what happens when an ENTIRE generation of women hits a life transition we were never properly studied for, educated about, or prepared for. GenX and Xennials weren’t “caught off guard” because we’re dramatic…we were kept in the dark. I see you. XO, Dr. Jen

People already calling the new Balamory ‘woke’ when the original had an American painter, a black gymnast, a disabled shopkeeper and a potentially gay inventor. Get your heads out of ur arses😂

@KidOnLadder @amberleahhx The original Balamory was 25 years ago, and it was very diverse. So that's bullshit So things are only good when you exclude what, exactly? Non-able-bodied? Anyone not white? Anyone not straight? Get to fuck

THE GOVERNMENT IS NOW LEGALLY ALLOWED TO SPY ON YOUR BANK ACCOUNT The DWP just got the power to make your bank report on you. Starting this month. Under the Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Act, banks can now be ordered to scan your account and flag you to the government. No warrant. No suspicion. No court. If you're on Universal Credit, ESA, or Pension Credit and your balance looks funny to an algorithm, you're flagged. Then a caseworker decides your fate. They're calling it the biggest fraud crackdown in a generation. Here's what they're not leading with: only 0.2% of PIP claimants were found to be committing fraud. And overpayments caused by DWP's own errors total billions every year UK Parliament, but mysteriously that part isn't getting the surveillance treatment. If you scan over 20 million accounts and even 1% get wrongly flagged, that's 200,000 people accused of nothing. The Post Office did something similar. We remember how that ended. Silkie Carlo of Big Brother Watch put it: this creates a second-tier justice system reserved for people who rely on welfare. They don't get due process. They get an algorithm. The poorest people in the country are now the most surveilled. The DWP's accounts have been qualified by auditors for 37 consecutive years due to their own errors. But sure, the problem is the claimants. Source: @GBNEWS, @YahooNewsTopics, April 2026

ADHD can seem fun and quirky until you’re too ashamed to reconnect with people because you haven’t had the mental space to reply for 6 weeks, and now the guilt and fear of being judged is too much.

@amberleahhx I remember the original Balamory being the first deliberately woke show I saw as a kid. It was an outlier at the time and is literally the only thing I remember about it. Tracy Beaker went woke not long after when it cast an actor with cerebral palsy

@PymAnita @ElmaAndRupert @nickimoraa No really, but since I'm housebound and looking for stuff to binge or rewatch, you've given me the idea to do SATC! I was never a ride or die for it, but watched a fair few SJP is pretty annoying, but I can just about cope

@PaulGadsden82 It fits everyone I know I didn't achieve a whole amount, either, so mine was in fact me furiously swimming so I didn't sink as I have ADHD. Many with me/CFS are autistic or ADHD, that can be where the exhaustion to keep up can come from, not from being Gordon Gecko

I don't understand this idea that people with ME were highly driven and motivated before illness. Surely it is a stereotype that needs to die? It most certainly doesn't describe me at all.

@PymAnita @ElmaAndRupert @nickimoraa I'm sure there were some laughs along the way during the episode (I can't remember those now), but as often with SATC, it's wrapped up in a bittersweet bow about the female condition You never got that from the show?

@PymAnita @ElmaAndRupert @nickimoraa You thought 12 year olds were actually giving blowjobs and loving it The episode was about how young girls were posturing about having to do a sex act they probably didn't understand or boys wouldn't go out with them It's not the details, 30yrs is a long time, it's the gist

@AmandaB55744931 Reflux and chest pain can be heart attack symptoms in women, that's why your GP wants you to go to A&E. I know that sucks, and I don't want to alarm you, but best get it ruled out at least? (I hear you about going to hospital, though)

Feck. GP said go to an A&E. Explained I can’t sit upright for more than 20mins without severe chest pain but she said chest pain and breathlessness is beyond GP scope. There is a strike on. I am thinking about it…

Two strange takeaways from the Waitrose sacking after 17 years of Walker Smith who tackled a shoplifter. 1) That the Left hasn’t demanded his reinstatement while the Tories have. Is he the wrong colour? 2) Thanks to Waitrose public statements every thief now knows to go into their shops and steal without retribution. A bloody awful decision by a bloody awful management.
