We don't even have the most basic of basic Consumer Protections in Canada. @Bell @Walmart @Rogers @HomeDepotCanada and several others. Paid off and I plead with them to delete my accounts. Month, after month, year after year, they keep my information and refuse to delete it.

@Instacart @JwatP15245 Correction here: the person above claiming to be affiliated with Instacart is what’s known as a fake support bot. This is a form of social engineering, where attackers manipulate users into revealing sensitive account details by pretending they can help recover access.

Update: @sproutsfm responded by just punting to Instacart. Their support email auto-replies saying they don't check it. They email from it, just don't read back. And I suppose I lose my Sprouts points now if I refuse the seperate company @Instacart's biometric demand. Convenient.

Ordered groceries from Sprouts' website, got logged out/can't log back in. Check email. Sprouts says order cancelled. Then get a separate email from @Instacart saying upload a credit card photo and ID (they are being sued for taking biometric data). Heres why this is a problem ⬇️
