@Cluffalo I'd be fine with that in principle but the issue is that women generally don't want men with low experience. Preselection is part of the criteria that satisfies hypergamy.
It's another one of our many dating inequities. Women and men don't look for the same things in each other.

@WookOfficial @StarWars5W I am now telling myself this is just an amazing satire of Christian apologetics. Everything agrees, and the contradictions that are there are proof of how much everything adheres together if you just believe.
English

@StarWars5W We have entire sections dedicated to retcons and changes from the EU era. It was pretty messy at times, way more than Canon
English

@realswtheory All legends was consistent with the 6 films, including the work made before the prequels.
You have thrown out your credibility with this claim. Tons contradicted, so much so that tiers of Canon were established to determine what won in those contradictions.
English

This is why Legends worked. It always remained consistent with the first 6 movies.
Now...ha
Doesn't even remain consistent with good story telling let alone what George created.
When you alter anything to do with the first 6 films, including key characters, it has to be thought out and very purposeful.
Shills defending the Acolyte need to stop and think, is this what George would have done? Am you defending this to appear to be a "positive" person. Do you understand the actual lore of Star Wars? Or are you just straight up shilling to get a RT from the sw account? Or be sent out to meet Dave? What's your incentive?
Mine is to uphold George's story and not let it be dephiled by people who insult George, want to take Star Wars for a joy ride, slap their spit on it and to change it without adding to it.

@Lons I'm debating if "It tastes like feet" was too easy a joke or not?

@RebelNewsOnline @ezralevant Even if there wasn't the potential for hate speech charges, you'd still fundraise off this.
You can't have a single disagreement without registering a web address the redirect to your donation pages.
Also, you're clearly equating a specific faith with "invasion".

🚨BREAKING: Toronto Police investigate Rebel News for hate speech
A conviction could see @EzraLevant jailed for two years — please help fight back.
I’ve got some breaking news — it’s another censorship battle, probably our biggest one ever. I need your help to save free speech in Canada.
The Toronto police are officially investigating Rebel News for running these ads by local community activists on our Rebel News billboard truck. The ads were created by a group called "Canadians Opposed to the Occupation of our Streets and Campuses.” It’s a bit of a mouthful but it tells you everything.
They’re anonymous because they know they’d face retaliation for speaking out — that’s how bad things are these days. The ads just show actual footage of what the pro-Hamas gangs are doing to Toronto — including committing real crimes ignored by the police and politicians. In the case of this particular ad, the images included pro-Hamas gangs shutting down the streets in downtown Toronto.
Here’s the official police announcement, declaring those ads “Islamophobic" and suggesting that a hate crime has been committed. A crime!
Toronto police don’t think the pro-Hamas street gangs themselves are committing hate crimes. They think the ad we ran on our truck is a hate crime. In Trudeau’s Canada, you’re allowed to support terrorism. You’re NOT allowed to criticize terrorism. That sounds more like 1984 than 2024.
Here, let me give you some more background — and then I'll tell you how you can help us fight back at a special website we’ve set up called SaveTheTruck.com. But it’s really about more than this truck. It’s about cancel culture. And the weaponization of hate speech laws. And two-tier policing. I’ve hired a lawyer and we’re going to fight. Because this is Canada, not Gaza. We still have free speech here, for now.
It’s actually pretty serious.
If convicted for “hate speech” I could be jailed for up to two years just for running that ad. And don’t think they won’t try — our Rebel News reporters have been arrested by Toronto police several times just for asking Hamas supporters questions. The police hate us because we’re not silent and obedient, which is what they’ve told the Jewish community to be.
The police chief isn’t dumb: he’s doing what his political bosses want. Toronto’s mayor denounced the truck. No surprise — she’s a pro-Hamas NDP mayor, who has refused to attend key Jewish community events.
And it goes much higher than the mayor.
Here’s a tweet by a pro-Hamas Trudeau member of Parliament, who wrote: "There needs to be an investigation and there needs to be justice.” Can you imagine? That same MP hosted a Holocaust denier on Parliament Hill, but she wants me prosecuted.
Other Trudeau supporters joined in, including Trudeau’s personal friend, Mohamed Fakih. He owns a chain of restaurants called Paramount Foods — and he notoriously said he didn’t want Jews as customers.
This is the guy calling for a hate speech investigation. He’s even put a $25,000 bounty on my head. Easy, Mohamed. You’re not in Lebanon anymore.
But the Toronto police are a full-on DEI police force.
They’re woke. Six months ago, Trudeau had a highly irregular meeting with Toronto’s police chief, Myron Demkiw. Demkiw’s office refuses to release any notes from that meeting, but it’s pretty clear: since that meeting, the police have not arrested pro-Hamas street gangs. They’re Trudeau's political base.
Oh, by the way, there are other billboard trucks in Toronto, with pro-Hamas and antisemitic ads on them. Police are fine with those. Only people who say things that criticize Trudeau or his Hamas allies get investigated by police.
Trudeau truly is turning Canada into a banana republic. Or Gaza if he could.
I think I know why people feel so desperate that they’re taking out anonymous ads on our trucks. They feel completely abandoned and ignored by the institutions they rely on. They want to speak out — because no one is speaking for them. I know the feeling — the reason we bought the truck in the first place is because all the truck companies we used to work with tell us they’re too scared to criticize Hamas, because they’re worried their trucks will be attacked and their drivers could be injured.
Police should be embarrassed they’re investigating the messenger, instead of understanding the message. Just a few weeks ago, masked Hamas gunmen shot at a Jewish girls' school in Toronto. The Hamas encampment at the University of Toronto has thugs checking if students are Jewish or not before letting them pass.
There was an insane, eight-hour antisemitic hate march outside a Thornhill synagogue. Hamas supporters walk through Jewish residential neighbourhoods in north Toronto shrieking at Jews.
This happens every day. The police just stand there and do nothing. Sometimes, they actually bring the Hamas gangs coffee — like this, when they blocked a road into a Jewish residential neighbourhood.
We’ve used our billboard trucks to talk about these issues for months — including our campaign to deport foreign nationals who support Hamas. We also have a campaign against Trudeau’s plan to bring thousands of Gaza refugees to Canada.
In the case today, we were running the ads for another group of loyal Canadian citizens who felt totally abandoned by the police and politicians. Real Canadians don’t shoot schools or take over campuses. They run ads on our truck. It’s called free speech — you can look it up in our Charter of Rights.
I’ve been fighting against censorship my whole life. I’m not going to stop now. There is a crime wave in Toronto, and it’s not ads from scared citizens worried about Hamas gangs. It’s the Hamas gangs themselves.
I’m going fight this like hell — you know I will. We’re going to take the truck out again. Because I’m a free man in a free country — at least for now.
I have broken no laws. And if the Toronto police think they can bully us into silence, well, bring it on.
I still believe enough in our country and even our courts to know that this trumped-up censorship will not stand.
If you want to help me pay for our lawyer to fight this police investigation, please help save me (and save our truck) at SaveTheTruck.com. And at that same page you can sign up for email updates so I can let you know what happens.
I was born and raised in Canada, and so was my dad, and so was his dad, all the way back to 1903. This country is built on free speech, and I’ll be damned if some Hamas thugs, and their obedient shills in Trudeau’s police force, can scare me into silence.
If you want to support me, go to SaveTheTruck.com. You won’t just be saving the truck or saving me — you’ll be saving freedom of speech in our great country.

@SithBase "It was always consistent with the first 6 movies". Amazing how books, comics, etc, that came out DECADES before TPM managed to be consistent with movies Lucas hadn't even written yet.
What kind of "real fan" is he when he dismisses everything outside the OT & Prequels?
English

@TexansForAction @JAVfox @DanPatrick It is not establishing an "anti-religion" it is simply setting a standard that no ones religion should be endorsed in a public place, just in private.
To place the commandments in school opens the door for Hindu, Satanist, and other faiths to hang their stuff in school.
English

You just proved my point for me. If judges and prosecutors are releasing murderers, thieves and perjureres, and they actually are in Houston and other democrat dominated cities, then they are acting contrary to what you say are religious laws, which means that those judges and prosecutors are in fact establishing an anti-religion against the three religions that honor the 10 Commandments. Besides, just posting the 10 Commandments doesn't impose them on anyone, and, therefore, does not establish a religion.
English

Conservative faith-based bills DON’T HAVE A PRAYER UNDER SPEAKER DADE PHELAN. Besides Dade Phelan killing the Ten Commandments bill last session, Dade Phelan also killed Senate Bill 1396 by Sen. Middleton, which would have allowed school boards to vote to put prayer back in public schools. Parents would have had the right to give their child consent to participate. The bill was sent to the House in April with a month left to pass it. It never got a hearing, thanks to Dade Phelan. Once again, the House Democrats who elected him as Speaker opposed it.
Remember, Dade would have lost his recent Run-Off if it had been based solely on Republican votes. He won the race by only 366 votes out of 25,000 total cast because a record-setting number of Democrats crossed over and voted in the Republican race. Democrats opposed prayer, and the Ten Commandments in our schools, and Dade made sure those bills didn’t pass.
English

@TexansForAction @JAVfox @DanPatrick That doesn't follow at all. I'm pointing out the 10 commandments make a horrible basis for law when a solid third of them is about blind adherence to authority. Espically in the US with its history of rising up and freedom of faith.
It's got nothing to do with waffles.
English

@roadmappodcast @JAVfox @DanPatrick Alright, so, by your (il)logic, we revoke all laws againt murder, theft and perjury.

@ZachWLambert Parents are responsible for school lunches, not government.
English

@TexansForAction @JAVfox @DanPatrick Also 10 commandments: I'm the best God. I'm the only God that matters. Worship me or else. Parents can do no wrong ever.
English

@JAVfox @DanPatrick The 10 Commandments: you shall not murder, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not steal. The State of Texas: you shall not murder, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not steal. Democrat prosecutors and judges, let's let out murderers, perjurers and thieves.
English

@UofAgrad97 @MyNameIsSimon88 They were totally always siblings. It was planned when he had Luke crush on Leia, and when they kissed, or kissed again.
What change?
English

George Lucas would NEVER misunderstand or break canon to change the age of one of his characters.
Wait....What's that you say? Anakin is only 45 at the time of ROTJ.....oooooohhhh noooooooo.

English

@DanPatrick So how do all the commandments about worshiping the Jewish God first ajd foremost jive with free religion?
English

Texas WOULD have been and SHOULD have been the first state in the nation to put the 10 Commandments back in our schools. Last session the Texas Senate passed Senate Bill 1515, by Sen. Phil King on April 20th and sent it over to the House, to do what Louisiana just did. Every Texas Republican House member would have voted for it. But, SPEAKER Dade Phelan killed the bill by letting it languish in committee for a month assuring it would never have time for a vote on the floor. This was inexcusable and unacceptable. Putting the Ten Commandments back into our schools was obviously not a priority for Dade Phelan.
Here is the bill that Speaker Dade Phelan killed because the Democrats who put him in power opposed it.
Senate Bill 1515 would require Texas public elementary and secondary schools to display the Ten Commandments in each classroom.
• At present, Texas public schools have no such requirement, and this legislation only became legally feasible with the Supreme Court’s overturning of the Lemon test.
• SB 1515 will bring back this historical tradition of recognizing America’s heritage, and remind students all across Texas of the importance of a fundamental foundation of American and Texas law: the Ten Commandments.
I will pass the 10 Commandments Bill again out of the Senate next session.

@Ky1eKatarn It does feel too easy. My own reflex was "Probably Manny" but only because I'll assume the obvious until I'm proven wrong.
Also, the show doing dark twin/light twin means I won't dismiss the easy answer.

I was so sure Qimir is Smilo Ren but Episode 4 felt TOO obvious. Is it a red herring? #TheAcolyte

@Lons My wife and I have both been caught saying "I forgot he was in that" for multiple films today. He was prolific and always seems to absolutely revel in playing any role.

With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.
English

@RealKiefer I'm really sorry you have to experience this part of life. It's never fun and never easy. Hopefully the good memories can rise above the pain to make it at least manageable.

@TTOR_Official @VicedRhino Nope, just able to recognize when someone is using religion to sell you something.
Pretty sure Christ took issue with that at some point.

@mtgreenee @mattgaetz Guys, while I was at a Star Wars convention, I didn't see a single piece of Srar Trek merch. Obviously no one like Star Trek based on this super duper scientific method.
English

I objected to Joe Biden’s electoral college votes on Jan 6, 2021 because I knew there was mass voter fraud.
@mattgaetz and I were assigned Michigan.
Wayne County was a disaster with many precincts having more ballots than registered voters.
That doesn’t accidentally happen, they stole it.
Now it looks like they are going to steal it again.
Having just returned last week from Detroit from @TPUSA I can tell you confidently I did not see ANY enthusiasm for Joe Biden in Michigan. No signs, bumper stickers, hats, Tshirts. Nothing.
But I saw MASSIVE support for Donald J Trump!
Signs, hats, tshirts, flags, supporters, and a BOAT PARADE on the Detroit River ALL FOR TRUMP!
I don’t trust the elections.
