@rezoundous this was always gonna happen. VCs made it cheap initially so youd get dependent like a drug dealer special. Cheap first, then expensive and now you cant work without it so you're forced into paying for the API or another plan $$

@rezoundous Same feeling here. The only thing that kept me using codex were the generous limits, now it just feels exactly like Claude code.

Superwhisper's next update might be too powerful to release publicly. The new voice model is so fast at transcription it started finishing sentences users hadn't thought of yet... We even put it in a sandbox and it dictated its way out. It also identified a flaw in the English language that had gone unnoticed for 600 years. Linguists have been informed. @OpenAI GPT 5.3 Codex is great at instruction following, but $100/mo just to avoid rate limits is steep. Anthropic's Claude Max plan includes Sonnet 4.6 and a 1M context window at no extra cost.

@RhysSullivan I'm getting the same feeling lately. I had my chat gpt subscription since forever but I was anyway using cursor to get that IDE vibe. But lately, I realised that I was getting way more usage with codex using just the extension than with any other model in cursor 😅

i've completely swapped over to 5-3-codex at this point for most things the $20 and $200 chatgpt plans are both really good, strongly recommend checking them out
