Well, unfortunately, 'foreign influence' is how #Globalisation works. We are just one part of a global franchise. There is no point getting upset with other countries. Australia signed up to it 50 years ago! We are NOT in control of our own destiny - that is decided elsewhere, for the 'global greater good' whatever someone else decides that is. If we couldn't vote our way out of it - you wouldn't expect to see the mass numbers of unions, activist groups, SM influencers & minor parties all working to keep Labor in power. So we should definitely try to do that. Failing that, we need to address the fact that Labor voting with their parties' agenda rather than the will of the people they represent in their area is a violation of our constitution. We need a mechanism by which we can force our representatives to vote as per the will of the majority in each constituency. We have been whinging about shit we can't change for too long. We need action. Something like this 👇🏻
