BBC PAID HIM 6X MORE. THE TRIBUNAL SAID THAT WAS ILLEGAL. THE BBC SAID IT WAS COMPLICATED. Samira Ahmed @SamiraAhmedUK presented Newswatch on @BBC for years. Same format. Same length. Same job. Read viewer feedback on camera, wrap it up, go home. Jeremy Vine @theJeremyVine did exactly the same thing on Points of View. She got £440 per episode. He got £3,000. Ahmed spent years trying to fix it quietly through internal BBC processes. The BBC said there was no problem. She filed for tribunal. In January 2020, the tribunal ruled unanimously in her favour. The BBC could not explain the difference. They tried. They argued Vine needed "a glint in the eye" and to be "cheeky." The tribunal said that was not a skill. It was a story the BBC told itself. The total underpayment was close to £700,000. Sarah Montague, another BBC woman, settled separately for around £400,000. The National Union of Journalists flagged around 70 more cases waiting resolution internally. After Ahmed won, 700 BBC women received pay rises. The BBC's statement after losing? They regretted it had gone to tribunal. Not that they paid a woman six times less than a man for the same work for years. Just that it became public. Sources: @guardian, @BBC, @IFJGlobal, Others

If @Keir_Starmer or @AngelaRayner had taken an undisclosed £5m from a billionaire in Thailand, it would be an outrage and It would dominate headlines for weeks and months @Nigel_Farage does it and gets soft headlines, excuses and not a lot coverage Says it all about the media

One might expect @ChrisMasonBBC to be able to find the rules on donations - it takes 3 seconds to do so: #heading-4" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm5803/cmco…

This is unbelievable. Chris Mason reporting on the Farage £5m donation and doesn't mention the rule that new MPs must report all donations in the 12 months prior to being elected. Unbelievable.

Deafening applause as Zack Polanski tells Zia Yusuf that people's concern over immigration is because he spends all his time spreading misinformation and fear. #bbcqt

Nigel Farage invested £275k in Stack Bitcoin across two transactions, 52 & 43 days ago. That’s far above the £70k MP declaration threshold. And far beyond the 28-day rule. Yet it still isn’t registered. No breach, supposedly. Why? Because the investment was routed through Thorn in the Side… Farage’s 100% owned company, declared once back in 2024. And according to Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards Daniel Greenberg, that’s enough for him and the weak Code of Conduct (even though any reasonable read would conclude otherwise) Declare the vehicle once. Hide any multitude of other transactions forever. So let’s be frank here: UK parliamentary rules don’t demand real transparency from MPs. They allow financial interests to sit behind corporate wrappers, hidden in plain sight. Fraser Nelson was right. And Kwasi Kwarteng’s later claim that he was sure Farage had done “everything needed” on transparency wasn’t reassurance. It was mockery of our intelligence.

Keep at this @MrJohnNicolson - “blindingly obvious” as you say, and with every passing day of pinhead-dancing, they allow the normalisation of the abnormal.

Jacob Mogg - the Tory MP - finds the time to present a 'news programme' four nights a week on GB News. This is a clear, ongoing breach of @Ofcom rules. Today in the committee, I asked Ofcom bosses why they do not act?

That's because your former party set up a tuition fee system and charged nasty foreigners more, and never allowed fees for UK students to rise. Universities are going broke, so are recruiting abroad to subsidise UK students because of the dumb-assed policies you now pretend were someone else's idea.
Suella Braverman@SuellaBraverman

Too many universities are selling immigration, not education. Last year, about 250,000 foreign students took up taxpayer-funded student loans to pay for their courses in the UK, worth £4bn. This is not fair. A @reformparty_uk government will make sure that the British taxpayer is not paying for foreign students. Let’s put British students first.

Massive bombshell. Former US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene explicitly confirms Donald Trump was forced to make a secret deal with the Zionist lobby to become president. She exposes how the Trump administration is completely held captive by Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel.
