Watching K2 Tonight. I have a sneaky suspicion I did see this when I was a kid. I bet it came out around the same time as Cliffhanger, because back then they always used to release competing versions of movies that straight up copied each other. I assume that this isn't as good as Cliffhanger. Cliffhanger is a really good movie. Anyway, let's check it out. What's your Saturday Night Movie 🍿? #PhysicalMedia #MovieNight

@brian_macisaac @HDMOVIESOURCE I remember having bookcases filled with dvds. My evenings were spent with my head cocked trying to decide which movie to watch.

@HDMOVIESOURCE I cut the cord in 2005 and invested the money I saved, and more, into BluRays. I now have over 3000 films on disc and about 70 TV series on DVD. I've never spent a cent on streaming and can watch real movies, not the "content" that the streaming services puke out.

Physical Media is buzzing right now. People are buying 4K Ultra HD players again. Some releases are even completely sold out because the demand is so high. March 2026 is so loaded with titles, and the format is thriving with real momentum. Collectors are jumping in because the quality is unbeatable right now, and the lineup keeps getting bigger every week. The difference in picture quality and transfer quality between the top indie labels and triple-a studios is now close, and most studios are now putting out movies that look great. You couldn't say this when 4K Blu-ray was first released in 2016, we've come a long way. Streaming keeps removing movies, lowering bitrates, and glitching at the worst times. Buying movies on disc gives you the full experience with no surprises and no missing titles. Now is the time to buy into Physical Media, and it's the safest way to keep the movies you love. #PhysicalMedia

@ChrisWillman @JosephKahn A lot of girls (my sainted mother included) dropped the Beatles when they "got weird" (and produced era defining masterpieces).

My 14-year-old daughter does not know who Madonna is, yet she knows who Prince, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson are. There are a couple ways to look at this, but I'm going to single out my main theory - her audience that made her the biggest star in the world at her prime were two main groups: Girls and Gays. These two groups have the fastest generational turnovers. Every group revamps itself and sets up new icons, but girls switch teams with higher frequency. They dropped Elvis for the Beatles, the Beatles for the Stones, Bieber for Billie Eilish. They will decide someone is now old or not relevant while guys still listen to their Metallica Master of Puppets album. There are also internal dynamics where a girl does not want to listen to her mother's music but a boy thinks his father's music is cool. As to the Gays, pop culture is their Super Bowl and they're always looking for the next thing. Obviously I'm talking in generalities in every single person is their own snowflake, but that's my overall read on it. This group can ramp up heat on an artist and then in an instant move on to the next. For the record I love Madonna and she's a huge influence on my work. New generations will rediscover her eventually.

The first two GODFATHER movies are perhaps the best movies ever made in this country. It's unfair to ask a TV series to live up to that. But THE SOPRANOS had a quality of its own. It had its own humor. (2001)

@Gibboanxious Not only was it unoriginal , the plot was literally taken from a 1960s movie , "633 Squadron". I still liked it though.

@BonnieBlueTK Favorite "helpless libs story": snowpocalypse in DC area, 6ft drifts in backyards, temps in low 20s for days. 'Karen' from MD on tv ranting how she lost all the food in her fridge/freezer because the power was out. Literal meat locker outside. All her neighbors= same. Idiots.

Several years ago, I was at a lib's house for dinner. She was fussing that she couldn't use one of the burners on her gas stove because the electronic ignition was broken. I quietly found a match and lit the burner. She was dumbfounded. I think about that in weather events like this.
