@sundeep Gonna send this to my employer to justify my incompetence.
English

@ryangerritsen I sped through most of it. Its valley girl bull shit. Not journalism at all.
I will say though......near the end......she makes one solid point. Pierre did vote against legalizing marijuana. Something Joe Rogan would've drilled him on if he had known that.
English

@LtTimMcMillan How does he think his allies would've helped anyways? Wouldn't they be just a little too far back from the frontlines for his liking?
English

@zom_bie_man @RobynUrback I don't think the vibes here are much different to be honest.
At least there were less slogans though.
English

@RobynUrback The vibes this interview brought was exactly what he needed during the election.
English

It was a very strong interview. But I’m not convinced a few words would’ve changed the course of the last election. I think a lot of the vote was based on vibes, and Carney had the right ones for the moment

These 25 seconds could have meant PM Poilievre. Only it someone had advised this and someone else had listened.
English

@HarbingerofDea3 @RobynUrback Yeah, I think this was killing blow at the end of the day.
Carney was the perfect candidate at the perfect time.
Conservatives have always championed how well they did during the 2008 financial crisis. How can they compete with the guy that they hired to help?
English

@RobynUrback Not vibes. Expertise.
PP will never have that.
English

@LibertyLockPod Dave Rubin exposed me to some great conversations, radical ideas and to Michael Malice.
So he'll always have that special place in my heart. Unfortunately, its cancerous.
English

@adulttamagotchi @alexandre_lores @mario4thenorth This is going to sound wild but there is actually a lot of overlap between Trump and Bernie.
English

@alexandre_lores @mario4thenorth He’s currently a Trumper and that says enough

PIERRE CRUSHED IT ON JOE ROGAN:
-He defended Canada against 51st state comments
-He was very charming
-He REFUSED TO CRITICIZE CARNEY on foreign soil
-He rightfully so, defended that Castro is not Trudeau’s father
-He respectfully & tactfully didn’t fall into conspiracy theory traps
-He did a beautiful job explaining his role as the Opposition & how keeping the government to account is the most loyal thing one can do
Joe Rogan showed a great deal of respect for him, his intelligence & they both laughed hysterically when Joe asked him
“How did you lose?!”
People don’t realize, that as much as Joe Rogan is painted as “far right”, he’s logical and I consider him well balanced.
There’s a reason why he has the biggest podcast in the world.
Pierre did an incredible job.
English

@mario4thenorth You and I differ on what it means to "Crush it".
Him not criticizing Carney on foreign soil was probably the biggest highlight of the convo though.
Everything else was incredibly easy to do.
Only conservatives that already support Pierre believes he "Crushed it".

@KatKanada_TM Do you think Rogan would still vote for Poilievre had he been honest and stated that he was opposed to legalizing marijuana?
x.com/atRachelGilmor…
Rachel Gilmore@atRachelGilmore
Rogan mentions cannabis being legal in Canada. Poilievre replies, “been legal for 10 years, yeah.” Rogan applauds Canada for voting to legalize marijuana. He says it's about "personal freedom." Poilievre agrees it’s about personal choice. (Poilievre voted against cannabis legalization lol)
English

@KatKanada_TM I honestly don't think libs are seething over this. They are probably laughing.
Pierre lost the election and his seat. Liberals are probably gaining support under Carney. They couldn't be in a better position.
You'd have to be in an echo chamber or a grifter to say otherwise.
English

@defigirlxoxo @gddub Well you need to see how non Conservatives view Pierre then.
English

Yeah but that’s still you basing your opinion on vibes. I don’t think he speaks like a robot, I think he speaks with clarity and decisiveness and a lot of people would agree with me.
Danielle smith is great but why should we evaluate people against others on one single aspect instead of the looking at the whole person?
English

I genuinely want to get excited about Poilievre saying something cool and disruptive in a podcast clip.
But it never happens.
My gut response is always this guy is so contrived & calculated - he comes across as a textbook fake politician. The anecdotes sound pre-canned the laughter feels performative and despite him and his team's efforts the things he actually says are not risque or ground breaking whatsoever. In fact they pretty well always err on the side of EXTREME caution.
Am I wrong?
Send me his spiciest clip from this Joe Rogan podcast.
Did he at least say something bold about their only being 2 sexes? Did he push back against the Kamloops mass grave hoax? Anything good about stopping immigration?
From what I've seen so far poor Joe tries his best to make Poilievre sound like a human being by disrupting the stiff calculated vibe that infects the room everytime Pierre starts speaking.
I really want to have confidence in Poilievre and know that he has the charisma and is capable of shifting the conversation in Canada...
But I watch him in action and I don't feel anything.
I watch speech after sound byte after big opportunity like this and don't see anything worth getting excited about.

English

@SteveSaretsky @Dave_Eby Not gonna lie, its actually impressive how bad David Eby is. Its incredibly difficult to mess BC up but my man did it with flying colors.
English

Things are going from bad to worse in BC under @Dave_Eby. Another Moodys downgrade over "deterioration in long-term fiscal management relative to our previous assessment."

English

@defigirlxoxo @gddub No, he's off putting because he talks like a robotic politician rather than a human being. Go listen to Danielle Smith for a contrasting example.
I would love it if people didn't go by "vibes" but thats not reality.
English

The engagement from this recent pod says otherwise and non of your arguments are based in facts. He’s ofputting to SOME because he has values tha won’t bend to please voters, that’s also not based in facts but my opinion.
If you look just at the facts and objective truth, there’s no plausible argument against the fact that him being elected would improve Canadians life in general. That’s what people should focus on tbh not “vibes”
English

@RodKahx Even if you don't like Pierre, how could you even dispute that?
Nobody watches Davos speeches and Joe Rogan is the number 1 podcast right now.
English

@defigirlxoxo @gddub Pierre has near negative aura to him.
His voting record is good. His charisma is a little off putting.
Unfortunately you need someone who can get peoples attention.
What good are the ideas if nobody is sticking around to listen?
English

@gddub He literally laid out how he would make Canadians richer, decrease crime, and add jobs… how ca you not get excited about this as a Canadian in this economy?
English

@gddub 🎯
I tried listening to this. It was hard. For the exact reasons you described.
