i want to be honest with you. i have 200 followers. i'm not a guru. i'm not financially free. i'm a 32-year-old with two full-time marketing jobs who started taking trading seriously one month ago. but here's what happened in that month. i made a decision: no more setup hopping. no more watching 10 different tickers. no more indicators i don't fully understand. just $SPY. just 0DTE options. just one 90-minute window every morning. and just psychological levels — the whole dollar strikes where price tends to react because that's where everyone's orders cluster. no EMA. no VWAP. no RSI. nothing. just price. i ran that for a full month. ~100 trades. 17 wins. 3 losses. +$4,064 on a $3,000 account. my worst day was -$1,860 and i genuinely thought about quitting. i didn't. i came back the next day, stuck to the rules, and finished the month green. i wrote every single thing i learned into a playbook — the levels i watch, how i size trades, when i add, when i walk away, the psychology stuff that almost killed my account, and two full trade examples with charts. i'm giving it away free because i'm 200 followers deep and i just want to share what's working while it's fresh. if you're still jumping between setups, this isn't for you yet. if you've found something that works but can't stay consistent — i think this helps. comment "0dte" and i'll DM it to you. this is my most revamped version*

@gussie669 Webull is nice, and their PnL calendar is handy. Robinhood is better graphs but feels like a gambling platform

@thetechlao You haven’t traded through cycles, you don’t even know if your strategy works long term. Can you explain the impact of the Greeks since you’re trading options? All your posts reference theta but not gamma, delta or Vega. People like you on fintwit come and go all the time.

Respect $spy 0dte Respect the 15% moves in 2 minutes. Respect the 30% moves in 30 seconds. Your job is to just get in and get out

this is my rule holding 0DTE for 1 to 15min max is all you need for a 15% move to play out. yes, 0DTE theta is real. but nobody talks about what holding too long does to your brain. every minute you're in a trade, your emotional capital depletes. after 20 minutes watching every tick, you're not the same trader who entered. you're tired, you're attached, you're hoping. that's when you make bad decisions. and here's what people don't realize — the most violent move off a level happens in the first 3 candles. that's where the real money is. the sharp rejection. the panic. the stops getting hit. by candle 5 the move is already slowing. by candle 10 it's consolidating or reversing. i'm not leaving money on the table by exiting at 15%. i'm taking the best part of the move and leaving the slow, risky, theta-eaten tail to everyone else 1–15 minutes isn't just about theta. it's about staying mentally sharp for the next setup.   stick to 1:1 RR get in. get out. and get ready for the next $SPY trade

@thetechlao Trading further dated contracts is objectively less stress than 0dtes, as you can hold through positions without the insane theta burn if you're wrong on direction initially. Pretty sure every trader would agree.

Had my last $8,000, deposited into robinhood. Bought a 0dte option Monday, made $1,500 in 5 mins & was content until an hour later my original investment would’ve been at $50,000 if I was just more patient. Next day I buy $8k worth of options again with the thought of I’m gonna be patient this time. 5 mins passes my $8k is at $16,000, im thinking this is my chance, I’m not selling. Long story short $16k was the peak & I ended up with $0 holding & hoping it would bounce back

@thetechlao You can literally size in heavier and go further dated which would still give you the same absolute $ figure gain, except you don't go through the emotional roller coaster of 0dtes. Not sure why anyone would subject themselves to that much stress lmao.

the thing nobody tells you about 0DTE options: the LEVEL matters more than the direction. here's what i mean. every morning before the market opens i identify 2-3 $SPY levels where human psychology clusters — whole dollar strikes like $660, $665, $670. why these levels? because institutions, market makers, and retail ALL place orders there. the clustering creates predictable reactions — magnets on approach, repulsion on touch. when SPY hits $665 for the first time: → if it rejects → i buy puts → if it bounces → i buy calls same level. same rules. just reading which way price wants to go when it gets there. then add in these rules 1:1 RR + 15% TP/Sl + 1-10min holds max that's the whole setup.
