U. S. Consulate Québec

The U.S. Consulate General in Québec City will be closed on Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, in observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday. The Consulate will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, April 7.

Honored to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with our valued partners! ☘️ Consul General Anne Dudte hosted a festive reception at her residence to welcome visiting pipers and drummers from the New York City and Boston Police Departments, as well as Irish Ambassador to Canada John Concannon and the Irish delegation, as well as representatives of the Québec government. A special thank you to Honorary Consul of Ireland Bryn O’Gallagher and President of the St. Patrick’s Parade Mike-James Noonan for their outstanding cooperation in making this event possible. Sláinte to the enduring ties between our communities and to many more celebrations to come!

Consul General Anne Dudte recently welcomed a group of business students from the University of South Florida. She shared insights from her career as a U.S. diplomat, discussed pathways into the Foreign Service, and highlighted the depth of the U.S.-Canada relationship, including our strong economic ties and shared commitment to prosperity and security. We appreciate the students’ thoughtful questions and their interest in international careers and U.S. diplomacy.

Our hearts go out to the families of the two pilots lost in the tragic crash involving Air Canada Express 8646. Diane and I are keeping all the victims, families, and first responders in our prayers.

This morning's attack on our Consulate General in Toronto is deeply troubling. I am very grateful that no one was hurt. My team is in close contact with @TorontoPolice and Canadian authorities, and we have full confidence in their investigation. Our work continues, we will not be intimidated.

In a moment of tragedy, the @RCAF_ARC went above and beyond to return our injured home with the dignity and care he deserved. Thank you to @CoastGuardCAN and the Royal Canadian Air Force for offering without hesitation your extraordinary kindness and support in our time of need.
