NEW: Outrage has broken out after Pope Leo appeared to quote Jesus using a passage that does not exist in the Bible. “Jesus told us, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, but woe to those who manipulate religion in the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.’” The first line echoes scripture. The rest does not appear in any biblical passage. The Pope is being accused of using a fabricated quote from Jesus to push a political message.

We do not say “God bless Israel 🇮🇱.” We do not regard the Jewish people as uniquely favored in God’s eyes. That is precisely why we cannot be manipulated or held hostage to the emotional blackmail that has proven so effective on much of the evangelical world. To Trump’s ultra-Zionist administration, this is unforgivable. And so they have chosen to attack us without mercy, until we submit or are broken. Our allegiance is not to any ideology. No. But one who does so out of love for God and in His Grace will. One who after having the truth of the Holy Catholic Faith revealed to them and rejects it without repenting will suffer internal damnation. Please lay down your pride and explore the truth of the Catholic Church, established by Jesus Christ apart from which there is no salvation.

You can go to church twice a day for your entire life, say a million Hail Mary's, confess your sins to a priest a million times, get baptized, partake in communion every day, sing a bunch of psalms, read the Bible, and do your best not to sin. None of that will get you to Heaven

The Pope is the Antichrist! For some years now, Adventists have been telling the world who the papacy is and what the Catholic Church really represents, but people do not believe. It is getting clearer now. The Bible predicted it from the time of Apostle Paul. Daniel and Revelation describe the Antichrist in detail. The Pope is the Antichrist!

@Ukpahiojojames I am Catholic where I celebrate the Lords supper every day.. I eat the body of Christ daily., I visit the blessed Sacrament daily, pray the divine office(Psalms) daily.. what more can I ask for? I seek to be close to the heart of Jesus coz I fear my frailty…

@LindyLion1 He is my Pope. I will keep praying for him to always stand for the truth even when no one stand with him. Do you know there are Orthodox Catholics in all this Muslim countries. Do you know why he visited Algeria? What is politics in him calling for peace?

I've been a practicing Catholic ALL of my life and CANNOT understand how ANY Pope can be silent on worldwide Christian persecution, yet be very VOCAL on politics, protecting those persecuting Catholics who shout DEATH TO AMERICANS, DEATH TO CHRISTIANS. Make this make sense 🤦‍♀️

@Babywwir Are they not humans in the Vatican? They are men whom hv given so much despite their frailty. They are not saints but they strive to be one. God see the ones that love him truly. We hv our own life to live too, to live justly never to pass judgement.
