Two great points. When I was a kid we walked to an open field and put down whatever we could find for bases and played baseball. “Ghost man on second”
Clay Travis@ClayTravis

@karol I also think many parents are desperate to get their kids outside and off the Internet and video games and end up paying a ton to do it with sports as their escape vehicle.

@Connectionary Normally I side with the person that has to drive through a crowd surrounding their vehicle out of fear, but this girl had an easy egress path, ran over a curb and she was drunk.

I know this is nothing new but I’m still not used to paying this much for video games. $80 is wild. I could just get the $20 upgrade pack but wanted another copy for local multiplayer purposes.

AT&T ran fiber through my neighborhood and gave us huge discounts to switch from XFinity. No amount of discounts was worth the pain and suffering we are experiencing. Even worse, cell service is considerably worse. DO NOT RECOMMEND

@webprofusion @kellabyte Only downside for me is it’s still sitting and staring at screens. I would do landscaping for half the money at this point.

As to what people would pay for, literally anything, especially if it's a remotely tricky topic, you can offer free and paid tiers. I literally stick the text "unlicensed" on there and give it away, then some people want to become licensed, for various reasons. A lot of people are accidental admins and don't really know how stuff works. That's the opportunity.

I’ve been a pro coder since I was 15. I’m exhausted from deadlines, pressure week after week. All the re-organizations. It takes a toll I’ve been fighting burn out for a few years All I know is coding and arch. I think a lot about what kind of role or indy work I would thrive

Older subdivisions with mature trees are closer to city centers and thus more expensive. Cutting a mature tree down or leaving them will not increase or decrease your homes value that much.
Aakash Gupta@aakashgupta

Let me explain exactly why every new subdivision in America looks like the top photo, because the math is wild. A mature tree increases a home's value by 7 to 19 percent. On a $400,000 house, that's $28,000 to $76,000. A single shade tree produces the cooling equivalent of ten room-size air conditioners running 20 hours a day. One tree on the west side of a house cuts energy bills by 12 percent within 15 years. The bottom photo is worth more, costs less to live in, and sells faster. This has been documented by the University of Washington, Clemson, Michigan State, and the USDA. The data is not in dispute. Removing those trees saves the builder roughly $5,000 per lot. Concrete trucks need twice the dripline radius of every standing tree. Utility trenches need flat ground. A bulldozer flattens 200 lots in an afternoon. Preserving trees adds weeks and thousands per home. So the developer pockets $5,000 in savings and the buyer eats $50,000 in lost value for the next two decades. The person making the decision and the person paying for it have never been in the same room. The Woodlands, Texas is the proof of what happens when they are. George Mitchell bought 28,000 acres of Houston timberland in 1974 and preserved 28% as permanent green space. He forced McDonald's to build behind the tree canopy. That McDonald's became one of the highest-volume locations in Texas. The first office building, designed to reflect the surrounding forest so you couldn't see it from the street, leased completely. The Woodlands median home price today: $615,000. Katy, a comparable Houston suburb that clear-cut: $375,000. Named #1 community to live in America two years running. Fifty years of data. The trees are worth more than removing them saves. Developers clear-cut anyway because they sell the house once and leave. You live in it for 30 years.

Democrats: “lol if we ever come to power again we are going to flood the country with another 100 million illegals and throw you all in prison.” Senate GOP: “Ermmm guys… We can’t break with our precious norms and procedures and pass voter ID…”

Democratic Illinois Governor JB Pritzker speaks about a Democratic "Project 2029" in which members of the current Trump administration, along with federal agents, will be criminally and civilly prosecuted. "Whatever it is that we can do. It may be that you cannot criminally prosecute somebody, but you can go after them civilly." Follow: @AFpost

Matt Walsh makes fun of Red Lobster. That should tell you what kind of person he is. People who hate Red Lobster are EXACTLY the kind of people who praise Blood Meridian.

I'm no longer surprised by how stupid and backward @GovTimWalz is. What I don't get is how he keeps the ship of Minnesota moving along with chronic fraud and openly anti-business policies and simply insane new taxes. That he hasn't been the target of a bloody coup boggles me.
Governor Tim Walz@GovTimWalz

Tech companies are causing disruptions to jobs and our economy, and middle class families are bearing the consequences. To ensure they pay their fair share I’m proposing a tax on social media companies that will support Minnesota workers impacted by artificial intelligence.
